Since i have a number of mental health challenges, i often read about them ... sometimes it's interesting enough to share. This is about how to become resilient and deal with change.

I am so not a fan of change. Having said that, I realize change isn’t a bad thing - having gone through -  and still going through - changes in my life this past year.

I haven’t read the article yet, but I will do so later today. I think/hope it will prove to be useful to me.

Great article.  I'm one if those people who can manage small changes ok, but major ones can throw me into a tailspin.  

The article mentioned how humans are social creatures and need the support if others.  I really believe that the whole social distancing behavior we've had to endure is a major factor in a lot of the upheaval that's going on. I never imagined that our world would come to the point where even though we need each other, we also fear each other.   

I'm glad that this forum exists. The support everyone here shows for each other is a bright spot in my day.

Course, it also has me wanting baked oatmeal, but it’s okay, I have r/o oatmeal infused with dried cherries, so Im good.

I like the cooler temps ... nice not to put the AC on.  

 

This guy is cute:   He got goggles for Putz the pup to protect his eyes, but people love seeing him so he wears them all the time.

We haven’t had the AC on as yet, and I have to say the fresh air coming in the window is so much nicer I hope we won’t need it for quite a while. 

The pup is adorbs, and good on his “dad” for protecting his eyes from flying debris and the wind itself.

I'm a little jealous. Our AC runs nonstop almost all year. We're under a heat advisory for the next few days. 105-110 °F thru the weekend I think. Ugh.

It’s 70F right now and the high for tomorrow is only 73F. After that, the forecasted temp is between 79-81F. It won’t be hot again until Thursday next week when it’s supposed to be 86F.

I’d send some cool air your way if I could.

Way too hot here too... it pushes 30°C almost every day now. I’m a snowman. I melt. Last weekend we had rain and cooler temps for a couple of days and it was heaven.

Rain here just adds to the humidity and makes it worse. It's a small price to pay though when January rolls around and all my friends and family up north are shovelling snow and I'm outside in flip flops, shorts, and a tshirt!
