When I was 10, my family moved to a new city that sometimes experienced  little seismic booms. I distinctly recall yelling at my brother (age 11) to stop jumping up and down (I didn’t know about the seismic booms at that point).

we are getting ready to get some rain/snow and cold weather. so along with this being Christmas week and the stores are busy they are now getting the important items. the stores are out of Milk, Bread, toilet paper and alcoholic beverages.

My maintenance guys at work tease me and call me a Pez dispenser when I start writing out work orders. 

Apparently they're right. I just closed out 23 and there's still 8 open. That's just from the past two weeks. 

I tell them it's job security 😆

Thanks all.  Its shaping up to be an ok week.  We had only 1 positive case from our testing yesterday and no deaths in 48 hours now.  Hoping we are past the worst.  

 

Post vaccine update: 6 hours post injection and no adverse reactions. My arm isn't sore or anything.  And I was 'that person' who took selfies for my Insta lol

I saw @Starrynight22's good news on the vaccination. I'm glad you got it!

We're still waiting on our allocation, but I knew that would be the case - we're outpatient care, and so rank lower on the totem pole in terms of most at risk. But still, it is coming.

That's good news Wayne.

I'm hoping that the county will be able to go ahead with their plan for phase 2 distribution. After the front line workers get vaccinated and they have enough supply the high risk group is next. When we set up testing at our community the county director told us they would do the same for the vaccine distribution. 

It would be great if we could set them up to come out and vaccinate our two communities. We just have to be patient and keep up our precautions in the meantime. It'll be worth it.

we found out today that Phil Sir is eligible for the second wave of vaccines. according to the state health department, it should be only a matter of weeks.

Testing is hugely important. I spent a huge effort to make that happen for us, and it's nice to have it in place. I'm glad your county is ready.

The funny thing is, all those naysayer political types seem to be the first in line for the vaccine. We're also seeing the rich attempt to buy a place ahead of everyone else through "generous donations" to hospitals and organizations. Our governor has made it brutally clear that he will cite and punish any institution which succumbs to this temptation. And anybody with an ounce of morality wouldn't need that negative reinforcement anyway.

It'll all work out, but it will take time.

I found it quite amusing that  a certain younger politician who jumped the line not only got his rump roasted by the internet flamethrowers, but also got taken to task by a national political commentator who congratulated him on his privilege. You're right @Wayne Gray,  it will work out in time. It just requires a bit of patience and compassion from everyone.

I'm sorry that you're dealing with insomnia. Happens to me all the time.  Either that or I wake up after 3 hours of sleep and can't fall back asleep. It really SUCKS!

I had a 4am wake up call from the dog. One loud bark. Just so he could go out. Of course I never really fell back asleep.
