I had horrible side effects from it and had to stop taking it. Thankfully, I've been able to successfully manage my blood sugar through diet alone. I suspect that I have also managed to successfully manage mine through diet, as well (plus other lifestyle changes, particularly exercise). The doctor has hinted at that once or twice, and even wondered if I need to really continue with the Metformin. I might ask hm the next time I see him whether II should at least try lowering the dosage for a while... 5 2

The pup and I've had a bit of a doze though I'm more tired now than before the nap. It's warm, 75/24° and very humid. Very unlike the weather we've recently had back home. Glad you got there safely! 4 1

Popular Post dughlas Posted October 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2020 G'day y'all. It was warmer here at 4:30am than the high temp. most of the days in the two weeks before we left PA. It's also far more humid. Mum told me the current ocean temp is 75/24°. Since the ocean is just 5 miles away it has a moderating effect on the local weather. Also, we are a month earlier getting here this year. We usually only arrive mid-November. Thistle is going to doggy camp this morning. He hasn't been there for 3 months. 7

Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted October 16, 2020 Site Administrator Popular Post Posted October 16, 2020 I have a friend coming over tonight for dinner. Last night, she texted me that she'd be in my area in the morning, since she had to bring her mom to the hospital for surgery, so we met up for breakfast this morning. We went to my favorite breakfast restaurant. I had a ham and Swiss cheese omelet and we split a pancake Their pancakes are sooo goooood. I couldn't go there and not have a bite. I also treated the herd to breakfast at the next table over. 🤤 My friend is still coming for dinner too. I have butternut squash soup in the crockpot and will make the low carb pumpkin crumb cake I made a few weeks ago too. I got my bloodwork results this morning. Everything looks great! My blood sugar and A1C were the same as last time. 1 7

Your herd wouldn't fit 'round a table with fewer than 50 sits or was there just a group of hot guys sitting there that you decided to kidnap ... er, uhm ... assimilate. Yeah that's the word. 8

Sigh I read a report in an Irish newspaper yesterday that the US National Weather Service had issued "red flag warning" for extreme fire danger due to "bone-dry humidity and wind gusts possibly hitting 55 mph," and that Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) had warned that it may cut power to as many as 54,000 customers in 24 counties as a pre-emptive strategy aimed at preventing fires from being started by power lines that have been damaged or knocked down amid high winds. Fingers crossed the dry weather doesn't lead to even more wildfires! Edited October 16, 2020 by Marty Tidying up 2 5
