Yeah, it's a pretty big name grocery company here in the US. It's the Nova Cane Center...and it's in the pharmacy...

Grocery stores here are offering the vaccine too, in the pharmacy department.  Nova Cane is play on "Novocain" ;)  :joe:

I got so mad at the lady who gave me my shot, but in a fun way. She was an expert shot stabber! She done left me in silence as she prepped everything, and the second she spoke in that sweet little flute-like voice of hers, POKE!

Oooooh, the millisecond I dropped my guard... she's good. She's damn good...

Oh, no. That's the worst type of shot! They look you in the eyes and invade your brain, "You...are going to be stabbed...right...NOW!" They want to see the fear in your eyes before they push the plunger.

I was the kid they dreaded seeing come into the office.  I had to be chased and held down to get a needle anywhere near me :unsure:  :joe:

My parents shielded me from the existence of needles. I was fine with going to the doctor, until my Dad distracted me while my first needle went in. And then the trust issues began... 

Then, for some reason, I kept hearing, "We got a runner!" at every doctor visit until I normalized shots.

Same. Once mom sent me alone to get a vaccin shot. I was around 12. She called the doc to make sure I was there and hadn't run away :rolleyes:

My record is 4 nurses to hold me down.  I had to have minor foot surgery and they needed to *shudder* numb the bottom of my heel.  Which meant shots in the bottom of my heel.  Where there's very little cushioning :unsure:  The doctor is very lucky he had quick reflexes in order to avoid my foot meeting his face :unsure:  I had one nurse holding one leg down, two nurses holding another leg down, and a fourth one bear hugging me from behind.  There was a fifth holding my hand and trying to distract me, which wasn't going to work... nope nope nope no how no way!  :unsure:  :joe:
