Adoptions aren't considered "final" until the kid has been living with their guardians for at least six months. So, I was legally precluded from saying anything until December. But, with all the chaos around the holidays, I suppose it slipped my mind. As a result, everyone found out after New Year's Day. 😂 😅

Time always seems to run together now, it both feels recent since you told us, and also longer than you say it was.
