I am told this is a "Haibun" or "Quick Writing," as it is translated. It is a partial narrative, and partial poetic treatment of a very difficult journey I am even now completing.

Just a little more adventure than expected.

Jess struggles daily with the consequences of a deadly mission. Ben believes he knows what will help: a support dog. Jess is unconvinced.

When Mrs. Benson goes to the cemetery to visit her family's graves she finds they have been robbed. The sight causes her to have a heart attack and leaves her two employees, James Trenton and Alice Frank to deal with ghosts that have been shaken loose by this tragedy.

I guess it was my own fault for getting mixed up with the wrong crowd, Jimmy, Toddy, Hog and me, we had been sort of friends since entering year eight in high school, I didn’t smoke tobacco or weed like they did, nor did I drink alcohol, and my school mates seem to accept that, and still let me hang out with them at night on weekends.

Now at the age of 15, I was now being processed to enter a juvenile detention centre for a period of 3 years, for the brutal killing of an elderly man with a baseball bat, the same bat that my mates and I had been using for over a year now in the warehouse, and that’s how they found my prints on the bat.

Callum Davies is a lovable rogue, or at least that's what people tell him. His comfortable life takes a turn though when he falls for his best mate, the straight and serious Jake. Fate plays strange tricks sometimes, and never more so than when it comes to love. Will it help or hinder Callum's quest to work out what to do about Jake?

Ron ends up saving a kitten's life, but when he steps out for a moment, the kitten's former lives stop in for a visit.

Mike grew up hearing his grandfather’s war stories. Mike has always been able to talk to his grandfather about anything but he was nervous about telling his grandfather about his boyfriend. His grandfather got sick and died before they could have the conversation. Not knowing how his grandfather would have reacted bothered mike. Then a chance discovery in Grandfather’s attic revealed that Grandpa had a few more stories to tell.

Paul's life is work. Then one night he gets a phone call from his brother asking for help. His wedding is about to go up in flames unless Paul can help him turn it all around.
