“Hey, we never met but our showers are on opposite sides of the same apartment wall. Sometimes we shower at the same time and sing duets.”

Devon fled Wyoming as soon as he turned eighteen, leaving behind his high school love, Levi. After six years, Devon returns to his hometown. Not much has changed, except that Levi is no longer in the closet. He’s also single and living his dream—managing the local wild horse population. Both of them are interested in picking up where they left off, but Devon is no more ready to reveal his orientation than he was as a teenager. No one is going to shove Levi back in the closet—not even Devon. For a relationship to work, they’ll have to put the past behind them and find the courage to face the future as who they really are—a couple in love.

Paul is a college football player and deeply in the closet until he stumbles upon a rape victim who needs his help. Kyle is out and proud but dealing with the aftermath of a brutal attack. They are both strongly attracted to each other but will a relationship be able to flourish in spite of the obstacles? Paul will have to come to terms with his sexuality and Kyle will have to get over his fear and depression, but together they might be strong enough to help each other heal.

He returns home and confronts his past in the person of his one-time best friend, Thomas. Thomas not only rejected him when Orin came out, he led the group that tormented Orin into leaving. Struggling with his grief, Orin also labors to fulfill the pledge he made to his parents before their death. In the process, Orin learns that sometimes when you go away to find yourself, you leave the answers you're looking for behind.

This planet should be paradise. No one in thousands of kilometers, just nature and my archaeological excavation, my own camp with all the latest technology... Yeah, paradise, if it wasn't for my inbuilt fag hag, Lisa, who is out to make my showers shorter by cutting the warm water... and the hunk that is stalking me... and don't forget the fundies in Shboa, who are out to get me.

Imagine where your character leads a pretty decent single life. Then there is a phone call and that life is turned upside down as they find out, they have just become a parent—to a teenager. Is this a cousin that has been left with no other family members? A god child? A niece or nephew? What is this first meeting between them going to be like?

The circumstances whereby Manny obtains guardianship are a little strange, to say the least. Not to mention what happens afterward.
