Crete is an ancient land of mysteries and myth. Sometimes myths are not myths at all.

This story is one of a journey through life.

A boy discovers his homosexuality. He condemns himself for an attempted seduction of a more youthful friend. He seriously risks dying when he decides to take drugs.

The social environments described are those of Italy in the 70s.

This boy’s life is pervaded with love, lessons, hardships, deaths, and special moments. The road is not pleasant.

It is a perilous journey that deals with drug use, repentance, prostitution, pain, forgiveness, and hopefully redemption.

Henry Atwood is still in the sixth form of Medwardine school. He is intrigued by new arrival, Rudi Burlesdon, red-headed, sullen and alienated. Henry likes to help, but once again gets way out of his depth, for in Rothenia a new spirit is rising and Rudi is not the boy he appears to be.

Connor is making a nice life for himself, without too many serious thoughts about 'the future'. So what happens when his world is changed forever?

There are small secrets and big ones. Those revealed by chance and those revealed on purpose, in part or in whole. Then there are the secrets you keep from yourself, the ones that surprise and threaten. The ones that may change or destroy you.

Arran is studying art, he has a girlfriend and a best friend, his parents are separated, but life is fine. Until an art project pairs him with Tom. What is it that intrigues him and pushes him towards something that will change everything.

Inspired by Jan Hutchinson’s prompts for National Poetry Writing Month 2023.

As I said somewhere else, I won’t manage to write a poem a day this April. The start was delayed, as I didn’t want to bore you with unimaginative rants giving righteous indignation and certain occurrences too many words and importance.

Cezar Cozman is resigned with the fate drawn for him by his parents. Pulled from his never-ending abroad studies in which he has never excelled, duels, gambling, and scandalous affairs aside, he is to be married within a few months’ time to a woman he has no feelings for.

There is little comfort in knowing what the future holds. Cezar also knows well that he will never have what his heart truly desires, but he sees no other way. That, until one unbearably hot day, a beautiful horse thief enters his life, impetuous and unexpected like a summer storm, and powerful like a force of nature, bent on stealing his heart away.
