Thorny Poetry - 29. If You Wanted Me

if you wanted me

i would come

i would climb mountains and cross rivers

to get back to you

if you wanted me

it only ever comes once

that kind of love

and you don’t realise until

you see that nothing can compare

you swept me off my feet

and we shared

everything

we had all the music

and all the knowledge

and all the words, you and i

and i thought

it was meant to be

forever

we raised our glasses to

forever

it’s been years now, but

if you wanted me

i would come

in a moment, a heartbeat, a nanosecond

i would return to you

if you wanted me

I debated between the "sad" or "love" reaction.  A lot of longing in this one.  Nice work, Thorn.
