Thorny Poetry - 27. Connect
I've reconnected with a lot of people lately. Some of these connections have been more significant than others.
didn’t know how much i missed you
’til i spoke to you again
it’s been years but still you knew me
like it was yesterday
and i told you what had happened
in my life, and you in yours
closer now than ever
we’re the same, you and i
never knew how much i loved you
’til agape spread her wings
over every word we spoke
and every thought
you always listen to my ranting
as i listen to yours
nothing’s secret, nothing’s wrong
there is no sin
i said this is who i am now
you said that i always was
and you knew
and so did i
that friendship
never dies
