Thorny Poetry - 7. Your Long Back
your long back
retreating
and your eyes, frozen silver storms
burning like blue flame
piercing me, they see right through me
dying and sleeping and laughing and weeping
doesn’t really matter if you sink or if you swim
ever do you see me
hot and cold and greedy
my heart calls out to yours but there is no reply
and you leave me
your long back
retreating
and your eyes, frozen silver storms
burning like blue flame
piercing me, they see right through me
I keep discovering things I wrote years ago. This one's nearly ten years old, and did turn into a song. I know I wrote another verse, but can't seem to find it anywhere . . . Maybe I'll do a 'part 2' one day. Anyway, that guy was a dick.
