Help
So, did I get your attention ?
Seriously, we need help from as many members as possible! I have been in conversation with @Carlos Hazday and he has 1 question left to ask an author(s) for Ask An Author. Needless to say, no questions, no Ask An Author .
Your question could be about anything you want to ask. You can specify an author or authors you want directed to, or just ask the question and Carlos will put it out there still. If you click on his name above and then click o

I’ve been debating whether starting a writing blog was a worthwhile endeavor. On one hand, I think it could be a fulfilling way to share some different aspects on the stuff I’m writing. On the other, perhaps it’s just another hobby that fizzles out the instant life gets busy. Why write this when I should be finishing the book, you know?
Being back on this site has been pretty nice so far. I was here back i
Welcome to another Groundhog's Day, um, oh I mean Friday. Other watching the television, reading, and raiding my fridge, I have been writing. In fact, here are two new prompts for everyone.

Soooo,
The other night I woke up with my pillow on the side of my face and I had hair in my mouth and in my nose I've never had a beard for more than a week before in my life, but I let it grow out over the past 5 weeks. The unibomber had nothing on me And the eyebrow,s even Albert Einstein would be jealous So enough was enough and woke up today and got out the cordless waterproof clippers and got rid of the damn beard! Next, got out the actual hairdresser clippers and started to use a #
I guess my mind works differently from a lot of people. Everyday I come across things that make me tilt my head like a German Shepherd and go hmmmm...
(Or in many cases WTF?)
I don't understand why people are wearing masks and gloves while driving alone in a car. Hmm....
I don't understand why when you answer your work phone 'Thank you for calling XYZ, how may I help you' and you hear "Is this XYZ?" Hmm...
I don't understand why you post notices all over the place that you
Welcome to Friday. It is Friday isn't it? I hope so. Anyway, did you know Friday is named after Frigg, wife of Odin? Why do I mention that? Read the prompts.

First up, on the Authors listing, we can now sort by "Highest Story Reputation"
Under an author's icon, you'll now see 2 numbers. The Green number is the Site Reputation Total. (The likes across the entire site). The number in the gray box is the Story Reputation. (This is the likes from just the stories/chapters/comments in the story system)
This is my version of the recipe. Your mileage may vary. 🙂

Well, usually it would be a single story review for our feature today. But, we thought it might be nice to turn the focus onto our fearless leader. With that in mind, we visited Myr's stories and picked some of the various comments from readers to highlight the many stories that Myr has on site. Myr specializes in short stories in the fantasy and sci-fi genres. He generally leaves his readers begging for more, probably because most of his spare time is spent on improving GA and dealing with tech
Has the past month flown by for you too? It seems like only a little while ago that we were being told to baton down the hatches and start practicing physical distancing. Work days blend into supposedly days off and daily chores and tasks are being done more. As even one member commented, her Dad was washing walls, walls!!!! I see the blogs are starting to really take off. Interesting reading how so many people are dealing with the times as well as their thoughts on it too. Some of your status
Have you watched a movie so palpable, it feels like you were flipping through a dust-covered photo album? I Am Jonas is like that for me.
This is going to be a heart-tormenting blog entry. As a proper COVID-19 warning, you might want to social distancing yourself from it if you are not emotionally fortified at the moment. I need to get it out though. Stuck in the 9th Hell is too much grinding (yes, I am going to sprinkle comic reliefs throughout the blog). This blog is not going anywhe
So, i have been home since March 16, 2020.
I think working from home, really brought home to me really how serious this virus is. Yes, i'd read about it and all the deaths in China. Read about people trying to get back to Canada and people stuck on cruise ships. But the Bank doing this huge about face and letting us work from home, really made it real.
The first few weeks i really struggled. i felt lost and afraid. i could feel it in my back and shoulders, in my chest. It felt like som

Those of you who've read my past blogs know that I'm a Diabetic and use an Insulin Pump to manage it. My current pump is a TSlim: X2 using Glucose Continues Monitoring (GCM) G5. Earlier this year, the Tandem Company released their new pump software using the G6 GCM. The G5 required two daily finger sticks to calibrate it. The G6 requires none.
After verifying my information with Tandem, they then contacted my Doctor for a prescription for the software. I then had to take and pass, an 80 min
It's Signature author feature time! This month we're taking a look at @Headstall! I'll share a few stories by Headstall, but feel free to share your favorite Headstall story in the comments. I'll only be sharing completed stories, so if it's a story that you've read, take a minute and go leave a review!
A proud father of four, Headstall's personal journey has been a series of twists and turns, and his stories often reflect his experiences.
He is an unapologetic romantic who writes f
This gentleman has been on the case since the very start. He has had a daily video and, published this summary.
Things are looking up. It looks like we're not going to have the deaths we thought we might. Lockdown may be boring but, better bored than infected with this little monster.
Wow, there are a lot of things going on in the world right now. So, I thought, maybe it's time for something a little light-hearted, like maybe a new Author Guess Who!!!! We're always open to more participants, so if you're interested in answering the guess who questions, you can either PM me, or copy them from here, change the answers, and PM it to @Renee Stevens. The reveal will happen on April 21st!! Now, who thinks they can figure out this month's author???
What is one thing that most

I'm trying to get the hang of this blog thing. This is my second attempt. I have no idea what happened the first time.
So anyway, I've had a lot on my mind lately and I'm not sure how to sort it out in my head. It seems the whole world has flipped upside down and we're living in an alternate universe.
My world had already been in turmoil before all this other stuff happened.
There's nothing more shocking than to find out your child was molested by a trusted family member when
I thought Cia was up to tricks, and she was 😮
I got 2 correct by just listing the authors she listed in order of the stories listed
@Gary L and @Mikiesboy, I was so onto you both
Congrats to everyone who participated not only in the writing and editing, but participating in the blogs (should we call it the blog of liars 😮).
A huge shout out to @Gary L, swept the floor with his first Secret Author contest. Take a bow
Huge thanks to @Cia who always does this

CALMNESS Synonyms: 128 Similar and Opposite Words | Merriam-Webster Thesaurus
CALM Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
Calm vs. Calmness | the difference - CompareWords
The concept of calmness in storytelling acts as a structural anchor that gives meaning to action. Just as music requires silence between notes to create a melody, a narrative requires moments of stillness to give impact to its conflicts.
Emotional Counterbalance:
Accentuates chaos: Constant action leads to audience fatigue. A period of stillness makes the next dramatic peak feel far more impactful.
Allows digestion: Quiet scenes give the audience time to process major plot twists
The word calmness combines the root calm (from the Late Latin cauma, meaning "heat of te midday sun") with the Old English suffix -ness which denotes a state or quality. Historically, intense midday heat in the Mediterranean caused winds to stop and the sea to grow still, shifting the word's meaning from "burning heat" to a "quiet, resting state". The shift from describing weather or the sea to describing a peaceful human mind occurred around the 1560s.
