I really do enjoy writing realism into stories; I know it's not pure fiction and there's something interesting about reflecting on your life in a story. You guys can probably pick up various reasons why I am not a great boyfriend from reading my story, I freely admit it, too. Gay Refugee's

So find it really interesting that this has been a major point of the news of lately.   I have often said that Conservatives up in Canada are probably left of Democrats in the US. Words I hate with a passion!

As an editor of fiction, (in South Africa there aren’t many), I have come across manuscripts that belong at the bottom of the slush pile, manuscripts with a literal value, manuscripts that are mediocre, entertaining, and some downright sloppy.   At times I value the plot, other times the characters, but, in the end, it doesn’t matter what I value, essentially the publisher has the last say. Just finished a story!

Finally! After two years of not writing a solo work; I dusted off an idea that was almost three years old and finished it into the very-loved work of Ice Fairy.   My plans for it right now are to offer it on Amazon as well and to find a great cover for it. Well, I will be in Canada for a few days next week

I will be up in Canada next week. Toronto-Montreal area. Writing Minimally

An observation that I need to answer on my story's word length:   Yes, I know, my chapters are really short for Language of Love.   It's actually intentional. In the modern world, we don't write 10,000-20,000 to describe a day on our blogs or texts, at least for the average person. We shorten and compress it down to 1,000-2,000 words. I could easily make this story longer by adding more descriptions, color, and other facets of my culture or his culture. However, that's not the essence of mod

After reading this week's Wacky Wednesday ...

I noticed someone had commented on leaving reviews. I've been on both sides of this, reading them and leaving them. I just figured I would note a few things.   1) I love a review. It is nice to know what what people think of the ideas I have in my head. I have had great reviews and bad ones.   2) Bad reviews - I have no problem if someone doesn't like my story. Subtlety in dialogue

I run across dialogue in which people say what they mean and mean what they say. For instance, two characters who sit and talk about their vulnerable circumstances without any hint of obfuscation. They have a heart to heart straight to the bone talk. Writing, Dating, and Living

Life is weird and sometimes you don't expect things to happen in a chain. Dating is complicated, you don't even need to read my entire story to get that part. Fair week is finally over!

Phew Fair is over for the year. Its been a long week with little time to write, unfortunately, but now my summer is finally winding back down to normal.
