Update on the last one

So I took my own advice from last blog and that a few others said to do, and I just walked away. I didn't say anything to him because I knew I would end up caving and just end up miserable again. So I let it all go and ignored the calls.   Well, I went up to Coppell tonight to hang out with an old friend I haven't seen in years, and while I was there my phone wouldn't connect to the network, or it was down or something. Either way I couldn't receive calls or texts until I was on my way home. I

Sexual labels 2: Bisexuality

I don't really want to open up a can of worms, but I'm going to. It seems as though the topic of bisexuality always does. For gay people and straight people alike. There's a popular sentiment that's so widespread it's made its way into the world of entertainment TV. A specfic example is found in the lyrics of one of the songs of Friends' adorably dippy Phoebe. Check out this clip:     Or, for those of you who can't/won't go there:   "Sometimes men love women, Sometimes men love

Sexual labels, I love 'em so much (1)

The people who've e-known me for a while, from looking at this entry's title, are already either grinning or rolling their eyes: Here we go again.   I'm sorry, I cain't hep it.   Tell you a little bit about how I got onta the Internet as a dirty-story-writer.   Long time ago, I ran into a story at Nifty that was pretty weak technically, but absolutely compelling--at least to me--from a "story" standpoint. That story was called Fraternity Memoirs, and it was based on the college experiences

Final Exam Season.

Is upon me, and man...it sucks. However, I'm going to do my best to make sure it sucks as little as possible. Of course, the great thing is- most of my classes will be done, and I only have two final exams during finals week. I just have a couple of papers to turn in, and one exam, by the last day of class, which is the 20th. So between the 20th, I get a nice break to just catch my breath, rest for a few days, and then study like mad for my western civ and geology exam.   I just want

Another year older and deeper in debt....

"16 Tons," a depressing oldie. So here I am on my birthday, watching the yard guys mow my lawn, enjoying a lazy day, and I hopped on over to GA just to see who wished me a happy birthday (and who didn't, so I know who to be mean to in the future). I'm just kidding. Anyway, I was thinking about this community and how vibrant it is, and how glad I am to be part of it again.   The last few months have been a wild ride for me. I posted my first story ever on GA, in e-fiction, on September

Long One, Lulz

So I'll start by explaining yesterday, which exemplifies why I often lose all faith in people, lol. Liz's ex, Pete, came to stay with us for a couple days. The reason for this is that their mutual friend is the Romanian guy, Adrian, who once hit on me while he was incredibly inebriated in that thick accent of his, proclaiming "Motherf**ker! My parents hate me! I want to f**k you!" Most awkwardly hilarious thing that's ever happened with a guy, just sayin'.   Adrian jumped in front of an

Graduation, Bankruptcy, and life

Interesting in about four days, I will receive my Master's degree at the age of 21. I worked hard to get it, but I don't feel any sense of accomplishment. There was nothing in my studies that surprised me or challenged me enough to above and beyond. Perhaps, the truth is my desire for a challenge was never met in my educational choice.   Friends, I have made plenty over the years, but I have no defining moment in my college life as it comes to a close. I prevented a flood in the library, argue

We Have A problem...

I started randomly dancing at work the other day, which can only mean one thing.   LET THE SUMMER FUN BEGIN!         If you somehow ended up in the situation where you had a child, and were single, what would be your top priority, raising your child, and spending all of your free time with him/her, OR dedicating your life to finding your life long partner, and putting that before your child?   Lets just say I know this girl, who was in a situation like this, spent all of her time on on

I'm a Vegetarian and I ain't f**king scared of him!

Time for another blog! Woo!   Nothing really too important to say except to tell those that haven’t already heard, that I’m a vegetarian for the summer. Yeah, weird right? I’m going to start out with the summer and see if I can do it, and if it’s not that big of a pain in the ass, I’ll see how long I can keep it up until I fall off the bandwagon and devour a cow.   This is day 11 without meat for me. Not really a milestone by any means, but I haven’t had much trouble to be honest. I’m not cr

Alone And Considering

I've only once really thought about it so much as I have now. That was a long time ago, though. Now, I'm not sure what's going on in my head. Nothing's the way it should be, and everyone except Liz hates me or thinks I'm this pathetic druggie loser. I'm tired of it, ya know? It's just not right. No one really cares except a few, select people.   Normally, when you hear people considering what I'm considering talk, they latch on to those "few, select people". It's like the opinion of o

Yet another post

I've been on a flurry lately. Must be all the extra coffee I've been drinking. I've been having it black for the last little while, because I feel strongly that powdered creamer is something that happens to other people, and by itself, sugar in coffee just seems silly. My parents will be so proud.   California living has finally gotten to me. It was bound to happen sooner or later, but evidence that I've gone around the bend to crazyville has manifested. I've, more and more, been noticing that

I'm Coming Out

For the past several months I've been subconsciously aware of a sort of disparity between my feelings and my professed identity. I mean, I guess the feelings were always there, but I'd gotten into the habit of writing them off as unimportant or irrelevant.   That's sort of the best I can do as a means of introduction, and it's still not very accurate. It's not that I only became aware of the feelings a month ago, and it isn't quite that I had written them off either. I always admitted them,

Depression...

To those who don't believe me about my depression status, check out my earlier postings on another board. I made it in January months before me and Mark got into our scuffle over anti-Depressants:   posting in january about my lack of feeling   I took the advice from my friends over at Jeff's fort and got checked; yes, I do have depression. I don't talk about it, nor do I express it like some others do through their blogs. Depression for me is different than how people view it, I don't mope

victim or volunteer?

The other night at dinner, Annemarie was telling us about this show she had seen on TV earlier... The Top 15 Hollywood Tragedies. There was Christopher Reeves who fell while riding a horse and became a quadraplegic, and Bernie Mac who smoked cigars every day for years and died after catching pnuemonia, and Heath Ledger who overdosed, and Kurt Cobain who killed himself, to list a few. She thought it was all very sad, but I stopped her and said that there is a difference between tragedy and stupid

I Forgot To Make Up A Title

So, today, I've decided it's probably a really good idea to completely f**king redo myself. From the ground up. I need drastic change. Soooo.... what shall I talk about....   My misadventures with manhunt.net. Omg. This site is the bomb for ego boosting, however, BE CAREFUL. What do gays and women have in common? They lie about their weight. Just sayin'. Also, they tend to not be very interesting. Even so, zomgz, I've met so many nifty people. My friend Matt that runs the Saengar

Latest update from Stanford

I just wanted to give everyone a bit of an update about what's going on with me. I told some people the details, but figure this would be easier and more comprehensive.   Back in late February, I finished the main chemo treatment for the Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL) that I have. After that, did a full round of testing and it showed that I was in complete remission (CR) - WOOT!   What the MCL did to me, was basically cause my bone marrow to produce blood cells in the wrong mixture - way too m

so Whats up?

Well its almost a week after my birthday. I'm 47 now.   There are things going on that got me very concern and nervous (extremely) ... like my first job interview last monday and then my visit to the University of Florida Hospital for my Bilateral NF of sciatic nerve on Tuesday.   First the long driving and the sitting certainly was getting progressively painful. But the real pain of the matter is the stress of being unemployed, the NF creating pain that affects what you think or do or feel

Things I have wanted to say at my new job:   "I am not a bartender. I am not paid to hear your life's woes. Please stop."   "Why hello there! Can you turn around for me? Hmm, you know, tight jeans are in fashion right now, you should look into that. Oh, no reason."   "Yes, I lived next to a beach, but I didn't go to the university of spoiled children. That's USC. My school was the University of Casual Sex and Beer."   "It took me 45 minutes to drive to work today. Again. This will not do

Baby?

So I went into work, and my boss Jo was all Ugh I don't feel good, and gonig on about how bloated she felt. So me and my other boss shared a smile and I turned back towards Jo and said, "Is it a boy or girl?" She gained a little weight, and she knows it, so we were having a little fun with her.   So she gives me this Look and goes, "Michael..." like she's ready to smack me.   So I'm all "okay okay, but if it's a boy your naming him Michael right?" and then i ducked because she threw a pen at
