Whew, getting this in by the hair of my chinny chin chin ;) 

Even though I'm fair haired (in the summer my hair turns strawberry blond), I know I burn, and I do everything possible besides wearing a snowsuit, touque, and ski goggles in 30 C weather, but I still am burnt to hell tonight :( I mean, about a hour before I went out I took a shower and rubbed in a generous supply of SPF 30 Sport and then waited 10 mins and sprayed on SPF 50 Sport. Went down to my vehicle 5-10 mins later and put on some Deep Woods Off, ( think I saw a mosquito flying off with a small dog the other day :o), and thought I was prepared for everything! Had a ball cap on and polarized sunglasses. Looking at myself in the mirror tonight the whole face and neck and ears are red except the eyes and top of the forehead. I now have a great farmers burn happening on the arms, and my one leg is red from the bottom of my shorts to the tip of my toes. Well the parts that were not covered by the sandal.  Maybe I should wear my florescent green prosthetic leg tomorrow to see what kind of reactions I will get with the contrasting colours :P I took a cooler shower this evening so I'm not in too much pain at the moment, but not really looking forward to bed :no:.

How about you? I know everyone should be protecting themselves from the evil sun and not getting burnt or ever really... getting tanned. Are you a natural tanner, are you a burner? What SPF do you wear, if you wear it?  

Now onto the Wrap Up. We had a hot week not only outside, but here as well!

I burn pretty easily, so use SPF 50 if I'm going to be out in the sun for any length of time.  I don't tend to tan; I burn, then turn back into a vampire :unsure:  When I do burn, I've found that goat's milk based lotion helps me out the most.

I try to stay out of the sun. I used to do everything I could to be as tan as possible but when I realized now bad it was for you, I stopped. With that said, I tan pretty easy. I wear SPF 30 on my face daily and spray myself down when I go for walks. If I burn, it tans right away and then I’m usually good for the rest of summer.

I'm fair skinned, living in Florida. I can look out my window and burn. If I'm going to be out for more than 5 or 10 minutes it's at least SPF 70, usually 100. 

I very rarely go to the beach during the day. Occasionally we'll go out to catch sunset. If I do I'm slathered in sunscreen, wearing a t-shirt over my bathing suit and yoga pants with a towel over the bottom part of my legs and feet, not to mention parked under an umbrella or sun tent.

If I’m gonna be at the beach for a few hours (like in Italy two weeks ago) I stay under an umbrella and wear SPF 50.

Burn, peel, burn again as  a child.  Coppertone didn't provide any protection and was about the only suntan lotion around in the fifties and sixties.  Parent's used to put zinc oxide cream on children's noses and top of the ears to prevent the worst blistering. 

I usually try to stay out of the sun.  When  I do yard work I wear a long sleeve white shirt over a white tee shirt, long pants and a big floppy hat.
