JamesSavik Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Gay Teen Worried that he Might be Christian "Sure, I looked at the Book of Leviticus once or twice—everybody has," Faber said. "We all experiment a little bit with that stuff when we're growing up. But I was just a kid. I didn't think it meant anything."
MikeL Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Unusual story, James. He came out as gay at age 14. Now, at 18, he may experience a second coming out. I don't think homosexuality and Christianity are mutually exclusive in a person's life. A lot of fundamentalist Christians have a problem with the gay lifestyle, but they have forgotten that it is not their place to judge. That's actually a key element of the Christian life...who will do the judging. It's also possible for someone to be for gay rights and be opposed to abortion. I am. If you are a socially liberal person, you don't have to agree with every socially liberal agenda. Political alliances may be important to the gay rights movement, but you don't have to buy the whole package if some part of it is offensive to you.
Nephylim Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I thought it was hysterical I loved the vampire one too.

W_L Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Awesome, I really should start my own denomination for only gay, lesbians, bi's, and anyone who has thought a certain person of their same sex was cute. You think that would make headlines
Mark Arbour Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Those of you who took this seriously must be really embarrassed by now. If you're not, that's even more embarrassing. Too funny.

Mark Arbour Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 The Onion is famous for publishing satirical news stories, usually in newspaper form. Here's their homepage with the story on the front. Read some of the others. They're a riot.
