A pedant after my own heart – too bad he's not available! ;-) And, yes, I did have to correct the spelling of my own post! Edited December 25, 2016 by Former Member
Rndmrunner Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 The gifts just keep on coming. Thank you again and Merry Christmas - or should that be "and to all a good night" 5
Popular Post Slytherin Posted December 25, 2016 Popular Post Posted December 25, 2016 Thank you, Val, Cole, Aditus for the Advent calendar, it was great fun to read your stories I hope you all have a great Christmas 8
Site Administrator Popular Post Valkyrie Posted December 26, 2016 Author Site Administrator Popular Post Posted December 26, 2016 I'm pretty overwhelmed by the response to our Advent Calendar. All the reminiscing and sharing of traditions has truly made this Christmas even more special. Now onto the final reveal! Door #17 Reindeer Games by Valkyrie Only three guesses for this one, two correct and one for Cole. Door #18 My First Year without Santa by Cole Matthews Two guesses this time, both correct, for Cole's poignant memory. Door #19 Poem #2 by Aditus Two guesses again. I think people were a bit busy this week for some reason... One for Adi and one for Cole. Door #20 Red's Bar by Aditus When I beta read/edited this for Adi, I told him it was some of his finest writing. I'm honored that one person thought I wrote it, two thought Cole was the author, and Dughlas was the only one to correctly attribute this tale to Adi. Door #21 by Cole Matthews Droughtquake asked in his review if penguins eat cold fruit soup, and the answer is 'no'. The other three guesses were correct. Door #22 The Yule Log by Cole Matthews Cole managed to stump both people who guessed this one. Adi got both votes. Door #23 Cozy Christmas Socks by Aditus Our beloved Jonah and Ren made a reappearance in this lovely tale. No red herrings or running shoes this time... Dughlas was the only dissent out of five guesses, thinking that it was a tale written by Cole. I imagine he hasn't read "Red Running Shoes" yet, in which case I highly recommend he does. RRS is one of my favorite stories on this site. Door #24 A Light for Jacob by Valkyrie Only one guess, and a correct one too, for my tale of a Jewish boy who finds friendship through the sharing of traditions. Door #25 Encore - A Christmas Visit by Valkyrie, Aditus, and Cole Matthews No guessing here... lol Adi thought it would be nice to give a surprise extra door, so we thought it would be fun to imagine a Christmas gathering of good friends. We're glad everyone enjoyed it so much. Slytherin and Puppilull were both very good guessers. Maybe it has to do with being Swedish? Slytherin edged out her fellow countrywoman by one guess. LBO had five correct and Puppi had four correct. We loved reading everyone's guesses, reviews, comments, stories, traditions, and thoughts inspired by our stories. Thank you for making our Advent Calendar even more meaningful. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Blessed Yule, and joy and happiness to all no matter what your beliefs or method of celebration! 7
