Particularly obscure w*nker music and sci fi. But also other stuff. Um, yeah. So hi. Eddie Currently Listening: McLusky - Lightsaber C*cksucking blues

TSboggart Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Hello everyone, I'm new--I joined up a while ago, then promptly forgot about this site. I can be rather absentminded....eheh. Well, uhm. I'm Amanda, I'm a readeraholic and spend a lot of my time immersed in books. I thought maybe it was time for me to stop reading so much and maybe do a little bit of socialising! Oh and, I also love to draw--my icon is one of my pieces. Is there anyone else on this board who enjoys to draw too?

Is there anyone else on this board who enjoys to draw too?Quite a few of our members do! I don't suppose I ought to just give you a list , but check out: The Domaholics Forum Toward the bottom of that page (not within the subforums) are several threads about fan art. I don't know if you've read any of Dom's work, but art will at least give you an idea about the talent of some of the fans. You might also start a thread in The Lounge about drawing/art, I'm sure you'd got quite a few replies I love your picture by the way! Take care and have a great day! Kevin

Not being able to trust my friends enough to tell them really sucks Hey--where outside of New Orleans? I grew up in Madisonville and Slidell, if you're familiar with those places, though I'm off in the boonies of Texas now. Nice to see a voice from somewhere around home. Oh, and hi. Welcome and such. ~goes back to lurking silently~

I'm sorry to hear that you can't trust your friends, but I can well understand that. I hope things improve for you. I hope you came through Katrina OK, and I'll bet you have some stories to tell!
Compaq Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 (edited) St. Bernard parish Adrien, and yea the hurricane sucked. My house was destroyed, but, my family is well off I suppose I should say. My dad works for an oil company so we don't have many money issues. There is still all the emotional stuff, yea, we only lost one family member in the storm thankfully. No, not many stories, basically laid in bed depressed for the first 3 weeks after the storm, cell phones were down meaning no contact with my friends so I didn't know if anyone was hurt/stranded/dead. The gang's all fine, but now we're seperated (I'm home, two friends are in texas permanently, one is in Missouri also permanently) I was finally about to tell the three friends I trusted most and the storm screwed it up. Now I have to work up the courage again Honestly, I'm ok with it all now so it's no big deal. Oh, and of course i'm familiar with both Slidell and Mandeville. Edited August 29, 2006 by Compaq
Ostentatious Oblivion Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Hey y'all I'm new here (obviously)... I'm not really good with introductions, so if there's anything you want to know, just ask...
