He collapsed at home and my MIL cannot get him up easily so she called 911. Now, the hospital he's in will transport him to the other hospital for cancer treatments, while he's an in-patient. So, that's a huge thing. Docs are trying to figure out what's going on with the tia's/mini strokes or whatever it they are, and they will get some physio for my FIL as well. So, hopefully, things will improve. And speaking of getting better, this is for @mollyhousemouseand anyone who is learning new things and making it work!! My Husband is taking me out today and we'll get some lunch and chill a bit in the much much much cooler temperatures today. Have a good Monday all. xo Hopeful thoughts to all of you. A nice lunch out and chill to relax sounds like a great idea to relieve some stress. 5 1
Popular Post kbois Posted July 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 28, 2022 Every once in awhile something old school reappears and you sort of go whoa! Today my four ladies who come to the clubhouse every Thurdays to play Mahjongg were sitting there doing their thing. One of them waves me over as I was walking back to my office. She asked me if I would mind taking a picture of their group. I said sure and reach out to get her phone. Instead she hands me a disposable camera! For a split second I had no idea what to do with it. Thankfully my brain reached back to the correct filing cabinet within and pulled out the instructions of how to use the thing. I even remembered to spin the wheel thingy first to make sure it was ready to go. Nostalgia...🤣🤣 Hope everyone is having a good day! 2 8

Finally I get some good news - 15 months after my Dad's death his flat has finally sold, so only another 4 - 6 weeks to finalise his estate. And in other good news - after a month of trying Hubby finally got a Dr's appointment. And in even more good news - After over 3 years off work due to ill Health and Covid, I've finally got a new job. Never believed it before, but they say good things come in three's. Wonderful. All the best to you 3

Popular Post Starrynight22 Posted July 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2022 Hello all. tim I do hope your FIL is recovering well. Popular Post MichaelS36 Posted July 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2022 Thanks to all of you for your best wishes. Dad is doing pretty well. He's had 3 small strokes and is in hospital. He can walk and speak though he has facial drooping on the left and some weakness on the same side. They are trying to determine why and think it may have something to do with his cancer treatments. They are looking to send him to a rehab centre for 2 weeks to help with getting him back on his feet. Thank you all again for your kind thoughts and words. 2 8

Glad to hear he is doing better. When my mother, had her mini-strokes, it was because of drug interactions. So, a cancer treatment, could very possibly be the cause. 2 4

Mikiesboy Posted August 1, 2022 Author Posted August 1, 2022 It's Civic Holiday today, so i am home. i made these for breakfast: http://www.eatbydate.com/healthy-pancakes/ i subbed 1/2 a banana for the sweet potato before remembering i have pumpkin, but they were good with the banana. i made a 'syrup' from frozen cherries, water, bit of splenda brown sugar and a 1/2 cup of applesauce. Brought that to boil and then added a bit of cornstarch slurry to give it a little body. This was a Michael approved breakfast. (Had i planned better, i'd have served it with a fruit salad). - Of course the texture is different because there is no flour or leavening other than the eggs, but neither of us seemed to care in the least. They were good and filling. - 3 1
