But you need to pinch them back often. I see a lot of mint juleps in my future.. dried mint, and possibly gallons of mint sauce...lol My parsley did great, but I couldn't keep my basil alive for anything. 5

Then when I was around 12 or so, I was eating one in the car and discovered that I didn't like it very much. Turns out I get car sick and now those little eggs make me nauseated. One year my younger son got into a bunch of Easter chocolate that my sister-in-law left out in her living room while no one was looking... about a half hour later he got sick.. it didn't phase him, he still likes chocolate but he doesn't gorge on it anymore. 1 3

Growing up in foster care, my kiddo never really got an Easter basket until he came to our house. It was one of the first things I did to really make him feel welcomed, and he broke down crying with happiness because of it. Instead of cutting him off cold next year (he'll be 13), I think I'd rather continue until he decides he's "too grown-up" for a basket on Easter. 6

I still send my older son and his wife a box of stuff for Easter (although this year's will be late because of us moving). They'll be 26 this year. Once you establish a tradition, it becomes something they cherish. 1 5

Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted March 31 Author Popular Post Posted March 31 Morning, all ... Hoppy Easter. I've come to equate Holidays with lots of work. While i love baking, big meals with lots to do is not something i love quite so much. However, there is a Lindt chocolate rabbit around here with my name on it, so there's that! LOL. Have a lovely day, everyone. I'm going to try to squeeze an hour of writing now. 9

Popular Post kbois Posted March 31 Popular Post Posted March 31 No Easter chocolate for this girl. Instead I get to deal with a toilet not flushing properly and leaking from the bottom and a shower that's not draining as it should either. Of course my hubs discovered this at 130 in the morning.... and we left the plungers at the old house. Guess who volunteered to go get them? I got back home at 3am and plunging didn't do much. I texted our landlord and am waiting for her to get back to me. I'm not sure I can do much unpacking today. I'm a tad bit tired, still in pain and sliding down the path of righteous crankiness. I hope everyone has a good day. 2 1 4

However, while not for you, this is a good reminder to anyone renting a new place.. run the water, flush the toilet and turn on the shower. All that stuff should work before you move in. Honestly, the landlord should have taken care of all of this stuff. Also, check any appliances that come with your new home... they should all be in working order. I hope your landlord gets this stuff fixed for you quickly. 1 3 3

End of day Friday we all wash up and toss muddy clothing into the washer, then sit down to pizza. Dinner was interrupted when water suddenly started spraying all over the mud room. Pipe behind the washer burst. 1 3 3

And well done on not slapping anyone! 6
Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted April 1 Author Popular Post Posted April 1 i am still full ... no seconds for me.. i did have apple crisp with vanilla bean hagen daz ice cream (just a scoop) but then i decided it was really necessary to eat my smallish Lindt Choc Bunny.. Frankly, i should have just left him to look at , cuz he was cute. The chocolate wasn't that great. i rather have the mini cadbury eggs. Well, live and learn. I wont get another one. Hope everyone had a good weekend.. i know @kbois didn't have the best of weekends but i hope future ones are better. ❤️ 1 5
