Hey all ... been writing. My writing partner - @Wayne Gray - has abandoned me this weekend. Seems he has something called 'a life'.  So I've written half of chapter 10 so far.

tim, I just have to thank you again for posting the instant iced coffee recipe. It’s been a revelation, and I’m just about to enjoy one now along with a bowl of fresh cherries.

Hi, I’m looking forward to more stories from you and Wayne very much indeed. Seems like I’ve read most of the stories in the world while I’ve been squirreled away in isolation. Some of them have been quite bizarre! I think my quality control filter is in jeopardy....need rescuing.....heeelp! 🤪

Thanks! It’s a Whittard’s tea pot and a Whittard’s tea strainer rest. There’s another rest with “Midsomer Murders” printed on it. That one belongs to my other half. They got it with a subscription to Midsomer Murders DVDs. We have to drink tea while we watch them! 😂

  oh don't get me wrong.. i tease him, but i'm happy, he and his hubby could get away. Wayne has a busy and stressful job especially right now, so i am truly happy he can escape for a bit.

OH, if you are watching Netflix... DO not bother with Criminal UK.  Utter crap. One of the writers is George Kay .. who wrote an episode or two for the The Tunnel, amongst other things... so i was surprised at just how bad this was. It was typical with cop dramas ... nearly zero reality when it comes to people's rights and procedure.  They do as they please ... the end justifies the means.  We watched all three ... and Katharine Kelly ... lord she is not a good actor, but she proved it in this mess.

Michael was in fits ... he hated it more than i did.

  Hey gang I need an opinion

First a few Givens

Horses drink lots of water. Vets recommend a minimum of 10 gallons per day.

Horses will not drink scummy water, therefore buckets must be cleaned daily.

So now the question.

Would you be upset to come in and find your horses water bucket green slimy and covered with a film of oil and dirt?

Would you complain to the barn owner, since speaking to the barn hands has done no good?

Would you take offence in being told you are being bitchy for complaining about this situatiion for the 3rd time in as many months? Last two times they cleaned properly till i stopped inspecting the buckets daily and went back to topping off dirty buckets.

Maybe they should stop paying for service they don't get.

Yes, I'd be upset.

Yes I would complain.

Yes, I'd take offence at being called bitchy for speaking up for creatures who can't speak for themselves. 

I'd also show them them what a real bitch is. The owner and the barn hands should all be given a glass of nasty trough water and see how they like it.

I'd seriously change barns if possible and make sure everyone in your local horse community knows about the shitty way you and your horse were treated.

I am working on that now. Waiting on the new barn to be completed on the new place. Was interupted by covid shut down of non essential construction. Its a shame. I have been here 20 yrs now.

Out of curiosity, I watched the trailer on youtube. Boring as all get out for what they did show. Couple that with your comments and Mike’s  reaction, this would be a definite pass for me.

You definitely are in the right on all counts, Kitt. Shame on the barn owner for not seeing this situation the way you do. If I was an owner of one of those horses, I would be beyond pissed off.

Shower of sh... that was.  I have to say the last one was the best. If any officer was caught doing that the boss wouldn't say, oh let's let him go back in. And to leave a lawyer and client in the interrogation room … where they can be over heard! Ridiculous. No breaks given, no drinks given. Talking back to the suspect's lawyer! Saying things that are nearly entrapment! 

Dear god, all they need to do is turn on the TV and watch some of the real life cop shows they produce in England to give you just an inkling of what really happens!!!  Absolute trash.

Well, I saw a sliver or two of blue sky today and maybe a flash of a ray of sun. Forecast still shows rain later on though. 

On a happy note, I had my Mom here for the first time since we went into lock down in March. She lives with my brother and up until Covid hit I would take her every weekend to give my brother and SIL a break.  It still makes me sad. Overall she was doing pretty well. Dementia is a cruel bedfellow. 

I also got some writing done, so all things considered, not a bad weekend.

You can have some of our sun. It was 83F at 9am this morning and 94F now, with no significant change of rain for the next week+

Woke up after a nap [hey -- it's hard to stay awake when there are two dogs snoring next to you] to find the temp inside was HOT.  Batteries in the "smart" thermostat had died and the AC hadn't been coming on.

Glad your mom was able to visit.  SP and I need to drive up so see mine, but we won't be able to do that until the Fourth of July weekend.
