Good morning, everyone. Hope you all have a nice day. Today, Paul and I are doing some planning for a podcast we've been thinking of making for a while. A writing podcast where we brainstorm over a topic and come up with a basic premise or prompt for a story. We have no idea what we're doing so it should be fun. lol

the weather here has been pretty warm and sunny.

So, Friday in a move I knew was coming, the adult child moved a whole state away. Like two hours, which is different than a phone call away, or coming home and knowing he’s been at the house. Something else to get used to.

So my weekend was spent in a bit of a funk. Silly I know.
Hope you all fared better, and today is a good one. 🙂

Not quite the same as they’re my siblings, but having one on the west coast and one in the States (though he is a lot closer than the west coaster) isn’t easy.

Wish me luck. About to use the bus for the first time since the pandemic lockdown started. Have a test for job today. Also, with the exception of grocery shopping, also the first time I've really been out of the house. 

Have mask, will travel, but still scared shitless.

Yeah, I know. If my new equipment arrives on Thursday like DHL said it would, we start recording Friday. If it doesn’t... we may start recording anyway, just on slightly less good equipment.

There was a positive hairdresser who worked almost a week with mild symptoms. She wore a mask, and so did her clients. It has been about ten days, and none of the ~140 people exposed to her have come up positive.

The masks work. Make sure to be aware of your hands, and contact with mucus membranes (eyes, nose, mouth - etc). Wash up after traveling.

It'll be okay.

Haven't been on a bus.  We walk to the grocery story.  Took an Uber to work last month .. you have to wear a mask. That was odd going down there. I dont miss it at all.

The masks have been shown to work. Just be as careful as you can.  Safe travels.

Not silly at all. It's bittersweet when you look at your child and suddenly realize they've grown up. At the same time it's a little overwhelming when that sense of pride hits and you realize that they are capable of being on their own and you're a big part of that. ❤

Good luck! Are you in Hillsborough Co? Didn't they just make masks mandatory for being out in public? I wish Manatee and Sarasota counties would do that, then I wouldn't dread going out quite so much!

For the last while, birds have been chasing the squirrels - and other birds - away from the hedge in the neighbour's yard that borders our patio. Figured there was probably a nest in there with babies to protect. Sure enough, saw a baby out with mom for the first time yesterday. 

A few minutes ago, I got this shot of one of the babies on the kitchen window ledge escaping the rain. It was a quick shot through the screen, because i didn't want to disturb the little fella. So cute...

Thanks, everyone. Was able to catch a ride Downtown, but still have to use the buses home. With asthma, just taking precautions.

City of Tampa has been in effect since last Friday, and Hillsborough County went into effect today. Must wear mask in public, when you can't distance. Or $500 fine, for each infraction.
