And something to find joy in today ... it is SUNNY ... we are going for a walk a little later to celebrate it!! Glad to hear your shrink’s doing fine. Had sun and blue skies yesterday, but so far it’s grey. Natty must be moving the rays around. Enjoy your walk. 4

Sherye Story Reader Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 It is suppose to snow again tomorrow and Sunday! Hope we don't get as much as we did last time. I hate blizzard snow. It is freaky! I don't ever remember having that much snow like we did last time! 4 1

Sherye Story Reader Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Thought you might need something funny to watch. I like the one where the woman hits the guy and the smack was loud! It was hilarious! 2 1
Popular Post kbois Posted January 8, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2021 My doggos are pissed at me. I got out of work a little early so I could stop at home and put some chicken in the Instapot for later. I was only home for about 15 minutes before I had to leave to go get my son. They thought they were going for a w-a-l-k. Ooops....they have to wait. 3 3

It's on our to do list for this weekend. Even though our household is very much Marvel-centric, the guys will still watch DC when they get the chance. Pitfall of being the only girl in an all guy household.....twenty years of boy themed movies! Looking forward to seeing it. Let's face it the 80s rocked! Enjoy your needlework! Enjoy your needlework! it was loud, and a little preachy the bad guy was really bad, had a hard time feeling any empathy for him, even at the end during the redemption scene Chris Pine is really nice to look at there's a magnificent cameo after the credits that bears waiting for but honestly, i didn't pay much attention to it, i'm really over the whole genre 5

Popular Post Kitt Posted January 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2021 Covid will kill you. What they don't say is that you don't need to actually get the virus. Suffer from depression or other mental issues? Lockdown will make it worse. Overweight? Yup, makes it worse. I get bored I cook. If I cook I eat. Sometimes more than is good, or things I should not. Mobility issues? Yup, it gets them too. Hard enough getting enough of the right exercise in, close the gyms and pt offices? Another blow to your health. And now the biggest blow. My neighbor was out walking on the first sunny day we have had in a long time. No surgical mask as it interferes with her oxygen canula. She figured she would just stay 10 ft away from every one. Not good enough for a bunch of bullies. They started hitting and shoving her,all the while shouting about no masks. She fell and fractured her hip. What the #&*! Is this world coming to? 7 2

She fell and fractured her hip. What the #&*! Is this world coming to? oh Kitt... i am so sorry for your friend who only wanted to do the right thing. I'm not sure about there, but here Health Canada says unless you are in a crowd (which we shouldn't be since we are locked down) you do not need to, and should not wear a mask outdoors. COVID itself doesnt scare me, since i know we are doing the right things but yeah, i am sad and dismayed at how people are acting. We have gone from being in this together to hateful acts like your friend experienced. i have no answers. talking to my shrink yesterday, he agreed the best thing is to find something constructive to do, love who are you with, if you're lucky enough to have someone and remember this will not last forever. He said, don't watch the news, don't read too much. Pick one trusted outlet and get one email from them to keep up to date. Stay off social media as much as possible. i have turned to youtube ... the Last Homely House, Arne and Carlos, Cabinboyknits ... and some cooking and baking ones, like How to Cook Smarter. Kate at the Last Homely House and Arne and Carlos have made me feel good, they are real and natural, kind and funny and talented. I enjoy watching them because they get me out of my head. Now i knit.. and damn Kate.. now i want to make books!! We need to find positive things. I'm not ignoring your anger and pain here, i get it, i really do. It's hard to deal with those kind of awful people and the horrible things they do. Depressive episodes are never far away and i have to fight to keep them there. i hope your friend is going to be okay and i hope you will be too ... i am glad you are here, Kitt. oxxoxo 3 5
Popular Post kbois Posted January 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2021 @Kitt I completely understand how you feel. I do hope that the people who hurt your neighbor were charged with assault at the very least. I think 100 years from now if society hasn't already self-destructed people will look back on this timeframe as an example of what not to do. Unfortunately humans as a whole tend to repeat their mistakes. Nowadays media feeds into the mania that goes on all around us. News media has lost it's way. It stopped being objective long ago with the advent of the world wide web. It's pretty sad. I agree with @Mikiesboy and his shrink. Limit social media, news, and other negative outlets. You have all of us as an outlet and I, for one, am grateful every single day that you guys are here, so we'll be here for you. 1 6

She fell and fractured her hip. What the #&*! Is this world coming to? I hope the police were called. They should not get away with that. I am sorry to hear this, Kitt. Most people cannot control themselves. I am sick of their whining about having to stay home and do the necessary thing, right now. You'd think people were told they were going to put in a concentration camp at hard labour, rather than stay in their own homes with all the benefits they have there. Personally, I am ready for the Government to take next steps, enforce lock down, and curfews. People need slapping and Big Brother right now. They cannot do what is necessary themselves, for the most part. And those who have been doing what was asked, are getting tired of it. I understand that. Doing the right thing while others do as they please and cases and deaths keep climbing is frustrating. We were recently told we have a resident in our building who has Covid. The building management has assured us that a sanitation company will be here several times a week to properly sanitize the place on top of the cleaning and sanitizing that is already done. They ask we continue to wear masks when outside our own apartments, that we wash our hands properly and use the hand sanitizer they supply. Should I show my unhappiness by beating up our superintendent? That poor woman was a threat to no one. I am terribly sorry to read this. I hope she will be all right. Try to find some good daily. Keep off social media - it is a pit of vipers and worse. 2 6
Popular Post Kitt Posted January 9, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2021 Just heard from my neighbors daughter. Hip has been replaced, and they have her up and walking already. Neighborhood is organizing a walking schedule so she will not be out alone once she recovers enough to walk out again. Instead of a rehab facility, a home health aide and a pt will come to her house till she can be independent again. 5 5
