the banana bread was very moist and held together well .. the carrot cake looks and smells good..they aren't very sweet.. which is good. Michael loves dessert and these are pretty friendly to diabetics.  A slice of cake and cup of tea and He is happy.

i buy quick oats and large flake.  the quick oats i put in the food processor to make flour cuz i can buy stores own brand cheap.

Thanks for the good wishes. One of the things i miss is getting outside took my dog and we went for a walk a few blocks but it felt good. so taking it a day at a time. so take care.

Next three days are going to be "fun" -- SP has a couple of Dr appointments; things should be fine but there is always that lingering doubt.

@kbois’s right, aloe works. I didn’t have any when I accidentally poured boiling water over four fingers - yep, missed the mug, because I wasn’t paying enough attention - so I ended up slathering on Aveeno hand cream because it’s main ingredient is oatmeal, which also works on burns.

Ahhhh...January....shredding season for offices all over the world. 

Behind my desk looks like a ticker tape parade passed thru. No matter how careful I am, how much I shake the shredder, it still gets all over the floor. 😒

the UPS store near us offers shredding services, we'll take a bunch over there soon. Work is all handled in our main office.

Burn blistered yesterday morning but is looking much better now.

Wind gusts of 50+ mph today, and could be worse tomorrow. Oklahoma -- "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains" isn't just poetic metaphor.

Perspective.

I had to change mine really quick this morning which is not easy when you aren't a morning person to begin with.  

My day started going downhill right out of the gate. I shut my alarm off instead of hitting snooze and overslept. At some point during blow drying my hair it decided to pull a 'Girls Gone Wild' and did everything I  didn't want it to do. I overcooked my eggs. My thumb braces didn't dry thoroughly overnight so I can't wear them today....things weren't looking good.

Then my brain literally told me to cut the shit out. I fixed the hair the best I  could, ate the eggs, my hand won't fall off if I go one day without the brace. So...things could be much worse. 

On the bright side, I woke up to see another day. I made it to work on time, plus I get to leave early today because I have a dentist appt. I love getting my teeth cleaned. 

So my perspective changed and I'm looking forward to having a good day. I hope everyone else does too!

I absolutely love my dentist's office. The staff is so great. My son's hygienist was out and we both had appointments at 4. My hygienist offered to stay late so we wouldn't have to reschedule his appt. ❤

My teeth are squeaky clean and I got to see the hot dentist. ☺Yup...definitely a good day!
