Popular Post Headstall Posted January 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 28, 2021 I am so tired. My son moves his girlfriend's stuff in on Friday night, so I don't have much time left. He brought me my grain and cat food last night, and he's excited about getting back home. So am I. Have a great day, all! 8

Waiting to see when and under which circumstances we're going to be lockdown... Me I'm good. Done with my classes for today and having a little snack. This morning I had an appointment with my endocrinologist, all is good. She said to get down to 2 pills of Metformin per day instead of 3 to see if I'll feel better 🤞🏻 Though at the hospital I had a bit of a moment. Instinctively I went to the 3rd floor aka the oncology floor instead of the 1st and crossed path with an old man in a bed and yeah it was the first time I went back to this hospital since my mom died there and I got suddenly overloaded with emotions for a bit. How are you and Steve? Having fun rolling in the snow? 7 1

But I was dry enough under it. 4 1

I know Sherye later said that she was joking with Bucket. And, certainly, the first sentence in her reply was funny. It was the later pot/kettle reference that left me totally confused. 5 hours ago, Page Scrawler said: Agreed. "Pot calling the kettle black" is an expression used to describe hypocrisy. How does hypocrisy apply to the act of wearing pants? 14 hours ago, Albert1434 said: ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I deleted what I said. I also explained in the same posts that I had a foggy brain moment! I also apologized to Bucket! You know that I was thinking at the time of my post, but then my brain went all blank with a foggy memory! So I will apologize to @Bucket1 one more time. I apologize! But to go to a meeting of LGBTIQA+ group without your trousers might make the others think you are hot and brave! 3 1

Popular Post Marty Posted January 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted January 28, 2021 (edited) Well, between the rain showers (and during them at times) I managed to get a few hours work done on clearing the overgrowth from the two old sheds today. The first real chance I have had since the snow put a temporary halt to the work last weekend. Most of the work was done from the neighbour's side of the boundary wall, but here's a photo that I took from my side just as it was coming on dark this evening: As you can see, the vast bulk of the overgrowth has now been cut away. But what's left is still going to be difficult to remove, largely because there's a mat, maybe a centimetre or two (half to one inch) thick of decayed leaves, etc, formed on top of the wall, that the ivy has sent aerial roots into, and some of the thinner branches are embedded in. I'm having to cut all of that away, inch by inch in places. But I still reckon one more good day's work (or possibly two) should see everything finally removed.
