Popular Post clochette Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 My diabolical reverse psychology plan is working I send a nice reminder online to my students parents about tomorrow morning Cambridge pre A1 starters test but also add that as the city has decided not to close the school I'll be there but they are free and actually invited to keep their kids home Monday and Tuesday because of the heat, that attendance won't been checked and we won't do really school work and they can't even bring board games. 4 have already answered their kid will be there Monday morning for the Cambridge test but won't be attending Monday afternoon and Tuesday all day 😏 Next step tomorrow morning: make no effort to cool the classroom (impossible anyway) so that those who are still undecided will be push not to come back 3 3

We've done that a few times previously since being in PA and thought they might have something interesting for Father's Day. I was very disappointed. They pared their usual brunch menu to just four items. Fortunately, one was the French toast Mum usually orders. The others were Shrimp 'n grits (I make this routinely), Eggs Benedict (only so-so, I routinely get much better where we do brunch in SC), and Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict (yeah, no). Instead they added a couple of over priced steak and seafood items not normally available and 5 cocktail specials. I ended up with a Caesar salad and not a particularly good one. Woohoo. Waiting to see if they send me acrequest to survey our experience. 5 2

Thanks B *sweaty hug* I'm right at the border with the red one (just above Paris)... 🫠 I had 16 kids out of 22 this morning (they had the Cambridge test), 3 stayed for lunch and they all went home this afternoon. My 1st grader colleague has 16 kids this afternoon! it was already 30°C at 9am in the classroom... Despite not having students I have to stay on site (assurance and regulations blablabla) though my headteacher said I could go home if I wanted to but I'm staying and taking to opportunity to do the grades reports 2 3
