You have never been geographically closer to @Mikiesboy than you are right now. You could easily turn that wish into a reality. And then go out and have coffee and donuts. Or stay in and sample his baked treats. Just saying. Edited August 19, 2025 by spyke 2 1

Tolkien's Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion, Balrogs are demonic, fire-wielding monsters and Maiar, angelic beings corrupted by Morgoth. They are tall, menacing, and can shroud themselves in shadow and flame. Balrogs are armed with fiery whips and sometimes use long swords. REALLY?????? 1 4

You just need to be a fan of excellent writing, big amazing adventures, and some great characters. In the case of the film, excellent adaptation of the books and some great actors. We watch it every year. i love it. i've read the books several times too. 3

Then had some rice and 1/2 a pepper stuffed with sauteed carrot and onion, air fried cauliflower, zucchini and yellow summer squash. it was all very yummy and satisfied the hungry men. 7

Now that I'm settled, I have taken over cooking duties. When we went to return the rental truck we went by a butcher/grocery store that has the best meats so of course we stopped on the way back. $200 later..... I got chicken thighs, boneless breasts, a sirloin roast, pork sausage, some large bags of frozen veggies, a huge bag of chicken nuggets for my son, some frozen dumplings that looked really good, salmon filets, cod filets and a couple of other things. Tonight I cooked all the chicken thighs, there's enough for at least 3 meals for four people and spaghetti. I had leftover homemade sauce from when I was here a couple if weeks ago. My spices were handy so the chicken was done half with smoked maple brown sugar rub and the other half with a honey garlic rub. Dinner was a hit and I have officially been granted a chefs hat and apron lol. 2 5
