Not even Lilibeth or Greta, even though one was chewing a table leg during the night…… 😱 Today rabies jab and other vaccines ready for UK trip next week. Will I survive? Will they be abandoned at Chartres Cathedral? Watch this space….. 5 2

Happy Thursday to you as well, tim. Mine too, though I’m also partial to the Cheddar flavour, despite them being a little messier. How are you enjoying the cool weather? Quite a change from the heat wave, isn’t it? 6

There's too much sodium in most of them. And i like these cuz they are sweet but just barely, which is great. i like the cooler weather, though i've been having nasty headaches for the past few days. We have the dog with us now because his owner's mum is ill and in hospital. So, that keeps us, well, not super busy but more active I guess. I'm so glad it's cooler. 6

I actually have very little salt in my diet on the regular, so there's that. Here’s to hoping the cool weather helps your headaches be less or none at all. Sorry to hear the pup’s is with you for unfortunate reasons, but it sounds like you’re easing the stress for his owner knowing the pup is safe and well cared for. That’s a really good thing in my book. xoxo 2 5

Too much salt, protein and sugar can affect the kidneys and diabetics in a number of ways. As can processed meats and other processed foods. We eat pretty simple foods now. We don't have a lot of sauces or marinades. If we buy something, it's a low sodium option and then we're careful with it. Yay, for fresh ground pepper! The docs think the headaches are a side effect of ART possibly. Could be worse. I'm just glad I can do what i need to since i'm not working anymore. I've taken some tylenol today, which is about the only otc pain killer i can take safely with kidney disease. It's a huge juggling act these days. lol Yeah, it's a shame the reason the dog is here. Her mom is 89 and has a number of health issues. It's no hardship to look after the pup. He's 12 now and sleeps a lot. But he has his bouncy moments... lol. xoxox 1 5

Michael has played since he was a kid. He's played some excellent ones that had very well-written stories. One was so good, I said He couldn't play it unless i was home. It was like a film. It was so good. Lots of them are not. 7

Popular Post Wayne Gray Posted August 29, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2025 It's an ancient game now, but Planescape: Torment won many awards for its storytelling. It spawned novels and features an incredible plot and wild characters. You can find art and creativity in unexpected places. Video games can be vapid, just like any other medium, but they can also be chillbump-raising experiences. Not from fear (well, sometimes!), but from intensity of emotion. I appreciate them. I play them. But only the ones that inspire something. 1 7

Alan Wake, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil. All scary. He's played some interesting ones. And some that just bore me to death, so i find something else to do and leave Him to it. He is a completionist and will play something until it is absolutely finished. Every box, every treasure, every side mission has to be done. I enjoyed Red Dead Redemption, Halo, and Skyrim (i completed everything in that..everything.. no small task). 6 1

Well done. And there are so many little stories buried in it. Even books to read within the game itself. Nice job! 5

Popular Post kbois Posted August 29, 2025 Popular Post Posted August 29, 2025 I've made it to the end of Super Mario Brothers way back in the late 90s. That's my one claim to video games. Nowadays my thumbs get too tired lol. I just spent 3 hours and 20 minutes on the phone trying to find out why I haven't gotten paid out my unemployment benefits from the State of Florida. After being on hold for over 2 hours, come to find out they needed a copy of my license and social security card. There was absolutely nothing during the claim process that indicated they required those things and I didn't get any notification saying there was an issue. With moving and job hunting, I haven't had time until now to deal with it. So its still under review and hopefully I'll get paid out the 5 weeks they owe me so far by the end of next week. Dealing with any government agency is a lesson is curbing frustration and swearing... but believe me, there were plenty of F-bombs swirling around my head. Anyways... have a great weekend everyone and if its a 3-day one for you, all the better! 6 1

Horrific that this is just accepted as part of life. It's normal for children to be shot to death. That says it all. It infuriates me. That this country is so paralyzed by bowing to the orange king. By "the right to bear arms." That it'd give up the right to life by those too young to even know why they're being murdered. We have the right to bear arms. Make it reasonable. Make it make sense. I grew up around guns. I had one at twelve years old. But I was taught to respect it. To take great care where it pointed, and that it was a tremendous responsibility resting in my hands. But I'd give it up. If it meant Sandy Hook never happened. I'd give it up. 6 3
