I agree with Gary (Headstall). I really like your writing style, too. The descriptions are evocative, but not overdone, and I get a real feel of Aspen and the characters. I like the pace, too. You are giving us glimpses into their lives very organically, in a showing vs. telling fashion. You have me eager to read more. It's nice to see that it's fairly well-edited, too. There are a few minor mistakes, but nothing that detracts from the story. I'll just mention one of them that always jumps out at me since I am a speech therapist. "Vocal chords" should be "vocal cords". I look forward to what's next!
