Poems and Short Quips - 5. He Floats

This hit really close to home, Mac. I would expect many can relate to this. I loved the idea of 'vernal touches' and like Val, I loved the repetition of the two lines in the conclusion. Terrific emphasis. I also liked how nature runs throughout... spring, leaves, wind, clouds, birds... it's a grounding that speaks to me... we still live in this world as we wait, and nature... the seasons... helps ease us through the months or years or lifetime, and the cycles help us make sense of our agonies... wonderful poem, my friend... cheers... This is a beautiful breath of a poem, as patient as respiration, as urgent as a gasp. The word vernal is exactly right, and in that word blooms a whole host of images waiting for our attention and consideration. Wonderfully done.

Lovely, filled with longing, desire and want. It's sad .. but beautifully written.. I hope you didn't have to wait too long ...

As I sit here, listening to the cold, cold rain smack the window glass, wondering if this winter will ever end for me, I feel the longing for those springlike caresses.

Beautiful poem

Vernal touches and savory whispers... love it. I almost get a sense of the spiritual in this poem, like a lost love who's now a spirit maybe? Definitely a theme of longing. Great poem.

Thank you, tim. Unfortunately, I will have to wait a long, long time. But still, there are visits, floating in and out. I appreciate your comments.
