Poems and Short Quips - 19. Spinning Wheel

you...

In my mind like a spinning wheel

Weaving dreams of discontent and lust

I cannot stop the motion

Only spin with it...

Thank you for reading.

Sir, You show that so much thought and emotion can be captured in very few words.

Thank you, jp. Excessive words are never necessary to get a point across.

Each time I read this, the incongruity of 'dreams' and 'discontent' makes me uneasy. Tonight my emotions fell more on the dream side. Why? Because that way I can relate very well. There are some people we get so excited in anticipation on seeing again (and reconnecting on a physical level) that it can cause repetitive thoughts and sleepless nights. You have said that so well here, and in so few words too.

Well done :)
