This made me pause and draw breath. While we pick up those broken boys ... sometimes we too, need to lean and rest. I know you will not quit Mac.

this reminds me, Sir, of what a former supervisor of mine taught me

that is, sometimes we learn by failing, but it's the getting back up that counts, that not trying again, and even again, is the failure

i also know that the things we fight hardest for end up meaning the most

This speaks to me on a very personal level. I often feel I've let myself down, but I have also learned I'm my harshest critic. Take comfort in others' feedback that what you've done is a success, internalize, and move on to the next project with optimism and love-of-self. Hugs, Mac.
