Oh, I don't know... I can think of a few... ;) lol

 

This flows very smoothly for a haiku. I can picture this a couple of different ways. Sitting on a rooftop, gazing at the stars with the gutter at my feet. Or it's a great allegory for having to hit rock bottom before things start to look up. Or it could be someone drunk off their ass, laying in the gutter, looking at the stars and seeing the beauty, despite their current location. See... you got me thinking. :) Nice job. :)

Hehe ... made me smile. As one who knows the gutter well ... there's only up from there. Life out of the gutter is preferable to one in it. :)

I never commented on this poem before, but it's the kind of Haiku that a Japanese master could write; wry and profound all at once. That's the heart of zen
