Poems and Short Quips - 25. Frozen

A short one inspired by tim's new poem:

Through a veil of ice,

I catch glimpses of you.

Who is watching whom...?

It matters not.

For it is only the veil,

The snow,

The frozen sea which separates us.

Surely, we can cross the distance

On sharpened blades of hope.

i've said it before, that i see poems in pictures.  this little gem is no different

there's a sense of mystery, and longing in this one

the veil of ice makes the whole scene a little murky, as if the photographer, or cinematographer, shot the scene through a screen

i think you write wonderfully, Sir, and am glad that You share with us

Loved the poem Mac. For some reason, I got the picture of Paired Figure Skaters. Looking at each other during a routine, and the hope of a good finish.
