Ravings of a Rabid Werewolf - Poetry by Wolf - 32. Rain
Work must still be done
As the clouds weep their cold tears
Shoveling, cleaning
It is the price I must pay
For working in the warm sun
*****
Drops of water fall
Forming small streams on the ground
Relentless is rain
And yet each drop is special
As it soaks me to the bone
*****
They seek dry shelter
Finding warmth inside their stalls
But one won't listen
Whinnying for joy again
As I fall in the cold mud
*****
Winter's rain prepares
As brown hills turn a lush green
And sprouts spring from soil
I await the coming spring
As the super bloom grows near
