We had twelve poems featured for this year's poetry anthology. What a perfect way to celebrate National Poetry Writing Month! A huge thank you to all who participated by writing poems, reading, reacting, commenting, and reviewing. Participation is what keeps these events going every year, and I know myself, for one, look forward to the anthologies all year. I couldn't coordinate the anthologies without help, so I'd like to give a shout-out to the people who make things happen behind the scenes
Dear GA
Just five days before the 12th anniversary of me joining GA, I have come to realisation,
that I am not able to continue my writing hobby.
I wish to thank every one on GA for all of your support over the many years I have been a part of this writing group.
I will continue to monitor my page from time to time for any comments, emails and messages.
Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year in 2026 and beyond.
Regards Preston Wigglesworth Esq

Well, no great announcements about 2026 from me... Except the start of CSR! I thought I'd do something a little fun, a twofer! That's right, this month's feature was written by 2 GA Authors! That means double the fun on the Discussion day.

First off, to Myr and the rest of the GA community: With all the days off last week, if you got them, I didn't know what day it was . I forgot it was Saturday, but I'm going to blame a extra long turkey hangover in not doing the Weekly Wrap Up. Then Myr posted the stories for the week and a gentle reminder/hint, that if anyone (me) wanted to add more, to stay tuned. I tried I really, really tired . After my 3rd attempt to add in the all the blogs and the WOTDs, and l
After an "eventful" last few days over the New Year (you can read all about it in the comments in Chapter 7 of Medellin), I got such a nice surprise this morning when I saw the 2025 reading stats, especially that Swing for the Fences was the #2 most recommended story of 2025, and ranked in the Top 10 in eleven different categories. Even Medellin made the Top 2 in two different categories, and it's barely gotten started yet. Of course, many, many, many thanks to my readers and "fans" for all thei

Last week, Myr outlined some plans we have for 2026, and there are some exciting things on the horizon! We had an outstanding response to our writing events in 2025, so I'm hoping we can equal or better it in 2026. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for announcements regarding this year's anthologies. Cheers to a great 2026! Let us know in the comments how you celebrated and if you stayed up till midnight.

It's been a while since my last blog about my special interest Pokémon games. In my last Pokémon-related post I said I'd talk about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, so I will briefly go over that one before moving on to Pokémon Z-A.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are "ADVENTURES WITH A SANDWICH-LOVING DRAGON MOUNT/BUDDY!"
This game was also meant for the release of the Switch 2, so the graphic quality had to be reduced. Players complained about the quality of the graphics, brilliant glitc

Cane, thank you so very much for these recommendations!!
As for the list in this blog, I randomized the lists from different genres in the deep dive posts (the more recent pull, the 9's). They are just a start, as I have hopes to keep going and slowly catch up. But that is why there is that one poem that made its way in there. 😆
Interesting idea @BendtedWreath, I’m curious - how did you choose the stories? Was it a bit of “eenie, meenie…” or something more deliberate? 😁
I’ve read at least one story from each of the authors you mentioned, and for one of them I’ve read literally everything they’ve published here on GA. That’s partly why I’m so interested in your selections - because for most of the authors on your list, the story you picked wouldn’t have been my first recommendation.
The story was 100% grabbed at random from that genre. I took the deep dive lists and randomized them and yours happened to be the first to come up during this round. I actually can hardly wait to read it.
Yours was one of the ones where the story that came up on the randomizer was part of a series, so I decided the series as a whole was the pick. I couldn't exactly read book 2 before book 1. 😅
