You can read A Study in Scarlet, which was written in 1886, online.  I don't find it to be like a foreign language, but it is wordy, as was the writing style then.  You can read it, or have a look at it, for free at:

Also, plenty of em dashes and semicolons for those of you who think they are 'out of fashion' for modern writing. Hogwash, i say!

Yes, i'd agree.  When you first read a poem AI has written, you think wow.  If you examine them, they feel flat - as you say - soulless.

That's so odd. I can't find that original post you quoted now. Huh.

No, the other one. The "quicklier" comment.

Wow. Also, now I can't even quote the comment that included it. When I try, it grabs a different post instead to quote. Huh.

Reading the Help posting about accessing GA and other sites, a new security update has affected websites globally. Do I understand what it may mean?

Today's thrift store browsing ended up costing me about $75.... which I guess isn't too bad.

Thrifting turned into hanging out at my friend's pool for a couple of hours while her nephew smoked salmon and made bacon wrapped asparagus and dirty rice. Omg... it was sooooo good.

After dinner, we played Catan which is a really interesting board game. It seems super complicated, but once you figure out what is actually supposed to happen, it makes sense. Sort of. A few adult beverages help immensely.  Let's just say I lost spectacularly.

All in all, it was a good day.

Currently, my family is still on holiday in Washington state. I just learned about an incident at the local "Mart of Walls" in our hometown. I'm just writing to say that I heard from a relative, and nobody in our extended family was hurt.

I love Settlers of Catan. It's a great game.

Though I have just returned from a party. There I was a thing passed about between men and women who were all super tense and wound up. And I was shot like a missile between their shoulder blades. Straight. Gay. Women. Man. All were my targets. Tension was my enemy!

I destroyed it. Seeking out tightness and stress like it was my mission.

Also, I am drunk and maybe a bit high.
