Then later, a really big (I’m thinking it might be pregnant it’s so big) robin on the patio with its wings outstretched trying to cool off. I do have a little pond (an upturned table) for drinking and bathing, but this robin wasn't interested in it. 4 1 1

My friend's dog was doing the same, and the vet recommended soaking the paw in epson salt after every trip outdoors to see if it was environmental. It wasn't. turned out to be a food allergy. 2 2 1

Every time we've had him lately he's had a medical issue. Last time he split his ear open after rolling on something sharp. He had to wear a massive cone and a surgical cap thing. Omg. lol 1 4

I was thinking about this, because my dog used to lick his paws as well. The brand of dog food he ate had a formula change, which caused him to be allergic to everything except mutton (lamb +rice), so we stopped his treats that were quite salty as it turned out. The licking stopped with the diet change. 1 4

That's awful under the best of circumstances. i got left home today to babysit the dog. It's fine, divide and conquer is something we do a lot. Easier when everyone is healthy, though. 3

So it could be an allergy. I know she told Michael, that she's gonna take him to the vet. Maybe he has an odd seasonal allergy. Thanks for the info! xoxo 4 2

Mikiesboy Posted July 18, 2025 Author Posted July 18, 2025 What a beautiful day. Sat outside with the hound while Dan went to the grocery store. No air conditioner needed, no fans...glorious and quiet. Hope you all had a nice Friday and that your weekend is wonderful! 2
