Believe me.. a good knitter can get these blocks done in under an hour ... it takes me a lot longer. But that's okay. I enjoy doing them. I found a local place that sells pillow and cushion forms and other things like that. And the prices are so much better than Amazon. Geez. 4 of the polyester filled cushion forms at HomeTex.Ca are $21.28 and the same from Amazon is $45.10. I guess what you’re saying is knitting takes practice, too. I’ve dropped stitches, but never learned how to fix themAs for undoing a row? At this point, that seems insurmountable. As far as Amazon goes, the same shelving unit I got from Canadian Tire for less than $30 was advertised on Amazon for $45. Amazon might be the most convenient way to shop, but it is defo not always the best price. Never mind, you have to watch out for shipping fees on some of the items which can be ridiculously high. 6

Popular Post Kitt Posted October 15, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2020 I have a metal clip board and strip magnets for my cross stitch patterns. I also found blowing it up on a photo copier and marking rows off with a highliter helpful when working complicated patterns. 7

I agree, Amazon is over priced most of the time. 7

Popular Post spyke Posted October 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2020 Good morning DiCers! I hope that every one has a terrific Friday! I know I can't wait for this week to be over. It's amazing how one simple deal can get so complex and stressful because of egos. I took a page from @mollyhousemouse and did some self care yesterday at my chiropractor. Wow what a difference he made! I feel so much better today. I owe @Wayne Gray my thanks for making light of @Mikiesboy's Instant Pot's potential jealousy issue. It reminded me to take a pot roast out of the freezer for dinner because it's supposed to get a bit nippy here over the weekend. Those of us with aged minds have to take our reminders wherever we can get them. 🤣 Take care and stay safe friends. 2 4

Apparently, IP covers are real, and this is just one example - there are lots and lots let me tell you. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sock-monkey-instant-pot-cover 7

After I cleaned the dust from the lights (took them down, wiped them with a wet paper towel, and dried them with a tissue) in the bathroom, I had lunch which was refrigerator oatmeal w dried cherries. Now I’m chillaxing for a bit. How are you doing? 4

Just wanting to say good morning So how are things with everyone Today has been a bipolar kind of day in the office. We've had people complaining and we've had people complimenting. We just don't know what we're going to get. The county was supposed to do Covid testing and flu shots today but apparently they didn't get the flu vaccine in so we had a slew of people show up for shots, and no shots to give. Ugh. On the upside, the people from the county said we had the nicest clubhouse that they had been to. 🤷♀️ 5

Fae Briona Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Took Little Man to the vet this morning - they think he has a version of old-man doggie vertigo, but are going to put him on antibiotics to make sure there isn't an underlying ear-infection causing it. Has SP and I stressed out. At the more extreme end is brain tumor / stroke. Love the little guy, and hope he'll be ok; but he is very old for his breed. 4 1
