Thanks. I spoke with her a bit ago and so far it's been rain, lots and lots of rain. The worst is due later about 6 or 7 this evening.

I finally got the rest(the top half) of my dining room window painted. It gets a lot of weather., so it was at the top of my list because I couldn't get to it last year. My whole west wall needs to be stained again, but I can't possibly do it with my arm the way it is. And no, my kids can't do it because they are hella busy with their own homes and kids etc. Maybe I'll pay someone next year if my shoulder hasn't improved enough. 

My list is piling up, but I did get more woods trimmed and cleared up in early spring, huge, destructive vines removed from trees, that big maple tree taken down, central air installed, the window painted, the basement is being renovated, a new dining room light installed, and I kept up with the farm maintenance... sort of. :)  Oh, and I cleaned the barn and garage of stuff that has piled up for years and years. That was a lot of work. And... I got a dog :D  so all in all, not a bad year, I guess. I even wrote a spring anthology story... and there was that little surgery in June... :( 

Don't mind me... I'm taking stock to remind myself I'm not useless... just injured. :)

I have five turkeys in my backyard. Normally, there are three. This time there is a larger (really big) one with a baby... it is sooo cute. They aren't afraid of me... haven't been for a while now... but if I step off the veranda, they start walking back into the woods. If I say on the veranda or head to the garage end of the barn, they stay put. This is the smallest offspring I have seen yet. :D  They are beautiful birds... my urge to buy a new camera is back. :)
