A rare "blue moon" will light up the Halloween night sky!

This year marks the first time a Halloween full moon has been visible in all time zones since 1944 — meaning every person around the world will experience the Halloween blue moon together for the first time since World War II.

This moon is also known as the Hunter's moon, which is the first moon following the harvest moon. It was likely named for the time of year to go hunting in preparation for winter. Other names include the Blood moon, Sanguine moon, Travel moon and Dying Grass moon.

Morning/evening, all! Waiting for a call from my doctor. My ears are acting up again, and there's a bit of swelling on my face. This telehealth thing is convenient... I don't know if he'll make me come in after I talk to him, or just prescribe me a stronger antibiotic.

Have you changed something in you diet or med that could be a bad reaction?

No... amoxicillin didn't work last time I had an ear infection either... I had to go on a stronger one.

No, it isn't. Just talked to him and he's putting me on two different ear drops... said the amoxicillin wouldn't work on the bacteria the other doctor found in my ear.   He also said the amoxicillin could have CAUSED a yeast buildup... so I have to go on drops for that. I wanted an oral antibiotic but he said zithro wouldn't work either... it did last time, so I'm confused. What the hell kind of bacteria is this? If it doesn't work I have to go in and see him in a week to ten days.

Not all antibiotics work on all bacteria. Some have become resistant to certain antibiotics and some just naturally are tougher. I had sepsis a few years ago and the bacteria responsible required one particular antibiotic to treat it others were ineffective. Interestingly it's a bacteria found in soil, it also has a reddish hue and can live on soap residue.
