I sensed something going on here, and decided to investigate. It was simple to get here because I was close enough to sense something going on. But what have we here?" Myr pointed at a spot on the wall to the left. "Looks like a wall of dirt to me," Jeff said in a tired voice. "Poke it with the butt of your gun. Right there." Myr pointed. Jeff reluctantly tapped the wall with the gun. The wall gave a bit. He hit it harder, and a large part of the wall tumbled away, revealing another tunnel. In the distance, a form was revealed. Could it be more ants? The shape did not seem quite right.... As the trio of Jeff, Myr, and Jason looked more closely, the shape separated into two forms -- one a tall and thin human, and a tall, thin insectoid form. Myr, startled, said questioningly -- "Bran Tse-Mallory? Truzenzuzex? What are you doing in this universe?" "We were sucked through a dimensional portal," the human replied. "Tru and I were investigating these creatures, called G I Ants, when we and many of them ended up here, wherever and whenever this is. Tru speculates that we may also be in the past. We certainly don't seem to be in the Humanx Commonwealth. "Bran and myself were conducting a thorough investigation of some discrepancies in various locations and star systems. when a strange light and vibration occurred and we ended up in this arena. The G I Ants seem somewhat disoriented, as are we. For that matter, what are YOU doing here? You remind me of a fictional character called Myr, the adventures of which we have read and discussed with our friend, Philip Lynx, also known as Flinx. But be that as it may, the G I Ants seem not happy to be here, and are being even additionally belligerent above their normal level of belicosity. And I think I hear more of them coming this direction...." (I am borrowing the characters of Bran Tse-Mallory and Truzenzuzex from the Flinx & Pip adventures, written by Alan Dean Foster. Truzenzuzex is a Thranx, a tall and thin insect somewhat like an ant, but highly intelligent, They won't be here in this adventure long, as Myr will help them get back to their universe quickly.) "Tru, do you have any ideas how we can get back to our universe?" Bran Tse-Mallory asked his friend. "I have one," Myr responded. "I can send you back if we act quickly before the dimensional rift is fully healed. But we need to act quickly, probably in the next ten minutes of so. However, more of the G I Ants are on the way. You two who have been fighting them here. What are your names?" "I'm Jason," responded the talented guy with the special lens. "And the shy one here is Jeff." Jeff tiredly managed a facial expression which might have been a half-smile. "Hi. Do any of you have more ammunition that will fit my weapons? I'm getting low." A somewhat scrabbling sound seemed somewhat close. Myr strongly suggested to Jason, "Get the lens ready!" But this time five more of the G I Ants were coming toward them from the first tunnel....
