I'm gonna binge. I'm off today. Had plans to clean the house. Nixed those pretty quick. 

Scrolling thru, I'm glad most of the stories are under 5K. I might get them all in today.... or go blind trying lol.

Lord have mercy my notifications are going nuts.  Posted 2 chapter updates for two diff stories, so I've got the fallout from that plus event traffic.  I feel like a traffic light in an intersection near the super bowl. Pedestrians keep hitting the walk button so many times I don't know which side needs to be green anymore. @Lee Wilson feel free to write that into a short story lmao

I just put a list of the story titles in my first post of this topic for those who want to make notes for themselves, since I already had one of those.

This year, I'm posting my method of madness. When I first looked at my work calendar, I thought all of the meetings were mine. Then I realized that none were mine and I had the foresight to schedule all my meetings Tuesday through Friday and that means I am reading as much of the 24 stories as I can today.

I'm going to use the name drop method. Write down the names of the 30 authors who most recently posted something and drop them one by one onto randomly placed strips of paper with the story titles. I can't do worse than last year. I don't think I got a single one right. And there weren't as many.

My thoughts so far- 

Busted- Light, humorous, doesn't take itself seriously. (I have a couple of writers in mind.) 
Exposing My Own Reality- A peek at the rough past and reminder of the rough future ahead. (might have to do some digging for this one)
Thirteen- Poetic flair in describing the setting and environment, a truly masterful writing style in terms of setting the stage, bold choices. (For the briefest of moments, I thought I knew the style, but I'll have to verify with all other stories before guessing on this one)
Unmasked- Nicely depicted familial and friendship bonds. (I've a feeling I'm familiar with this writer's work)

I figured everyone would start at the top of the list, so I started at the bottom.  So far have read Carpe Veritas, What It Takes, Green Lightning  and squeezed in Liminal before my lunch break ends.  There's a striking variety here.

Yeah I started that way, so randomly clicked one of the sort options.  The variety is crazy cool.

The key is to skip around, then go back to read them in order. Then, in the order listed here. Then backwards.

Fledgling- Dark fantasy with a twist that tugs the rug from under your feet. (I have my suspicions)
A Chorus Director's Dilemma- Drama that spans more than one generation. (This is the first entry I've almost no doubt who the writer is, but I could still be wrong. We'll see.)
The Reunion- Relatable and heartfelt. (I have a guess, but it's not the most solid of guesses just yet)
The Case of the Scallopini-ed Mayor- The twists keep coming. Definitely a hunt, but of what, I won't say in case no one's gotten to this one yet. (I have a couple of guesses here, but I'm leaning towards one more than the other)

I just want to say due to the nature of this event I can't actually reply to any of this, and I don't know how I feel about that right now.  But I'm sure I'll take it out on one of my characters later.
