Can anyone please explain to me how in the hell one can get maple syrup on one's hands when they use a clean spoon to drizzle it on their pancakes and their fork hasn't even touched the plate yet?

It happens Every. Single. Time.

The struggle is real.

Sounds like a drippage problem to me. Perhaps wipe the bottle down with a dish cloth and hot water. See if that helps.

I would never abandon you, my friend. ❤️

But I won't say no to a party either. I'll bring BBQ chicken.
