kbois Posted yesterday at 12:33 PM Posted yesterday at 12:33 PM Can anyone please explain to me how in the hell one can get maple syrup on one's hands when they use a clean spoon to drizzle it on their pancakes and their fork hasn't even touched the plate yet? It happens Every. Single. Time. The struggle is real. 2 1

Gary L Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Hi, greetings from a rather warm Valencia. It’s not too good, frankly. When we look out of the window it’s like looking at the LA smog as you come into land at LAX, and we can smell the smoke in the air from wildfires some 50km away. Obviously, it is far, far worse in SW France and elsewhere in central Spain. What makes us so angry is that investment in fire prevention has been reduced dramatically (like flood protection in Valencia which caused so many deaths two years ago). A cheer for firefighters everywhere. 👨🚒 2 1

But fire is natural, and here our forests are boreal forest, very dense and very wild, there are no roads into them and there are millions and million of hectares of them. And right now, they are burning. 2
