Growing up every time I brought home a "nice Italian boy" he turned out to either be related or my gram, who was a L&D nurse and the only licenced midwife @ the local hospital, would say something like "I was with your mom when you were born". Guess the idea of Gram seeing him in his birthday suit is a turn off.

Mixed feelings on the day. Hubby's cardiac catherization went great. We are in the post op holding pattern.

Not so great is the "patient update app" never updated while I was waiting. Supposedly the indicators change color when he comes out of OR, again in recovery, a third time in stage 2 holding and a final change when they stamp for discharge. Told it was a 45 min to an hour procedure. At the 2 hr mark I started asking questions. Lady @ desk said she knows no more than I do. 2 hr 30 min mark the board still says in the OR, but a staff member comes out to collect me, saying "why didn't you come back to Stage 2 holding when it lit up?

Ummm, because it says he is still in OR?

And I quote "Oh Shit! I'm soooo sorry!"

Yeah, he has the the issue. I get the spiking blood pressure!

For some reason, I had it in my head yesterday that it was Friday. Went out and about running errands and paying important bills in person. At least 3 times when I was leaving, I told the person who helped me to "have a good weekend."  So either they were thinking "another senile boomer is on the loose," or I  convinced them it was Friday and they woke up mad as Hades when they realized they had to go to work today. 

Anyways, everyone have a great weekend and get into some good trouble.

Phil wants to go to His golf place, so i have my Nook, fully charged phone, and an appetite. Not sure where He's stopping for dinner. Then i'll watch Him hit golf balls and play 18 holes.

Took my little demons to vets for pre road trip to UK check up and vaccines.  One hour later and $200USD later we staggered out.  Thank goodness we put air con on low before we left home.  No pocket money or treats for them for a while.  
Greta is lying next to me snoring her head off as I try to nod off.

It's  an early morning for me, Phil has a visit with His "diabetic educator " this morning. Then it's off to the farmers market. If there's enough time, maybe an estate sale. i have an appointment with my hairdresser, then maybe we'll get lunch.

Here's hoping that we all find some rest and recharge this weekend.

Wow, that’s like a week’s activity for me! Paco is off to local mountains for swim and supper. I’m staying at home as U colitis has decided to play up. 50th anniversary of it starting this year.

That's a pretty average Saturday.  Phil works from home, so He likes/needs to get out of the house.  Estate sales have become a hobby. He has restocked my kitchen with vintage Le Cruese pots and nice knives.

Thank you x Le Creuset are the best but sooooo expensive in Europe.

It's stupid expensive here too. At estate sales and thrift shops you can them for $20-$30.
