I love overnight oats made this way. And I don't wait after I make them. you COULD, and it'd thicken up into a pudding. But as it is, you can just make them and eat them. They're tasty. I use flax seed instead of chia, but you can also sub in your favorite nut (walnuts!) instead, too. And maybe you'd dread eating just a little bit less. 💚 https://youtu.be/uJy0oLYdPSs Edited July 25 by Wayne Gray 6

Dinner is harder, meat is terrible, fish is okay and so is chicken for the most part. I don't eat much meat anyway anymore. 1 2 3

I know you know this, but slow cooking most meat is the best tenderizer there is, especially chicken. You know it's good when it slides off the bone. xoxo 1 7

I'll make some curry tomorrow... that's easy to eat. 2 4

The child said it was good as did hubs and the mil. I know better. I recognize "placate K because she's pissed off" when I hear it. The Brussels sprouts were good and the au gratin potatoes came out much better than the last time I made them. I guess that's something. 4 2

I don't have enough ground beef in the house to make one. Remember when that was a cheaper meal? Now the meat would cost at least $20 unless you're making one mini loaf. LOL 1 1 1 4

I got pissed because it took longer to cook than I thought because I made a double batch so I'd have plenty of leftovers to freeze for my later this week when I'm working late. There were still a couple of spots in the middle that needed a few more minutes but I cut around them and threw them back in the oven. Whatever. 6 1

LOL I didn't realize that beef prices had risen so drastically in Canada too. 🤦 One of my favorite cheap meals from yesteryear was pot roast, but I'm not paying $25.00 for a chuck roast to make that meal anymore. In my neck of the woods, pork is the value meat along with chicken thighs. Speaking of chicken thighs, they do really well in the slow cooker and become really tender. They're hard to over cook. Maybe that'll help you with eating. 🤞that you can get your dental issues fixed quickly. 5

Wow.. but yeah that works.. ground turkey and chicken are the same price as beef here. Meatloaf bits are just kinda flat meatballs. Edited July 26 by Mikiesboy 3

Yesterday i bought a quarter of a watermelon, a pineapple, about 7 kiwis, cereal, spinach, 18 eggs, 8 apples and 1lb of little potatoes, and one package of no sugar cookies and some natrel cream.. that was $71.77. No meat. Prices are insane every where. I buy chicken thighs and debone them myself, then freeze them in their marinade.. they aren't tough at all, but finding a way to eat them is hard due to what is wrong. I may make some soup or something that would likely be the best thing. Edited July 26 by Mikiesboy 1 3 3

I don't know if you like it but I use Tofu instead of meat, it's easier to eat and you don't need to use a lot of it if you cut it in small cubes. And as something tastes and easy to eat you can make barely soup. https://www.budgetbytes.com/vegetable-barley-soup/ I hope you get to fix your teeth soon. 3 1
