    It's nice to have another poet on the site. I enjoyed this and felt the connection between the two boys. I especially like the last line. You also taught me a new word. I had to look up the definition of 'manumitted'.

    Great review, Tim. RRS is one of my all-time favorite stories on this site. Addy makes us run the gamut of emotions, but it's well worth the ride. I adore Jonah, even if I did want to smack him upside the head a few times... I highly recommend this story to anyone who hasn't read it yet.

    I would encourage you not to give up writing. We all go through slumps once in a while and that's ok. You'll come out of it. I have to admit that I don't think I've read any of your stories. I'll have to check them out. I had to laugh at your description of your son's Cadillac. I had a friend in college who had a Nova that was nicknamed "Fungus" because it was falling apart so badly. How she drove that thing four hours home every weekend and remained intact is a mystery. lol
