Suspicion is quickly directed at one of the teachers, as well as a group of five students who all had run-ins with Noelle prior to her death. Told from the point of view of Larry's girlfriend, Robin, he learns that sometimes the shortest path to one's goals isn't the straightest one.

The internet can be a dangerous place sometimes. Chat rooms can be perilous. Sixteen year-old Woody Fields finds out too late just how sinister a place they can be when he begins chatting online with another mysterious boy.

As someone who doesn't get embarrassed easily I sure was in for a shocker of a first day of my last year of high school. Everything was going fine in my boring school, boring town and boring life until HE came along...

I just wanted to get through the end of school and move on to bigger and better things. Apparently, that was too much to ask for. I should have known that life is never that straight-forward for me. Let's put it this way, I'm going to be in for an interesting few years of friendships, and relationships? Wait no - that can't be right. Well I guess it is, so strap in and let's both hope that this doesn't end in disaster!

This story was written as an addition to the Sanitaria Springs series of stories. Those are stories written by Dabeagle and other authors who he invited to contribute. They are about events in the lives of several teen boys who live in the fictional town of Sanitaria Springs in New York State. The stories are interwoven and this particular story picks up on a character first met in a story titled 'Without A Trace.'

I do not think it is essential to read that story before reading this tale as I believe there is sufficient 'back story' here to enable this one to stand alone, but feel free to do so.
