And you bind me
With your words, with your songs
You take my soul and play your tune
And you bind me
With your passion, and sweet kisses
You make me yours, there’s no escape
And you bind me
With ropes of love, and your eyes
Held in your heart, and in mine
I am bound
How can I love you?
You are not what I seek, yet you are
Precious and a joy to me
Our souls have met, miles no matter
And you have a life there, so far away
Yet thoughts of you fill me, fill my eyes
Touch me, with your sweet gentle way
How can I love you?
How can I not?
