timmy's poetry - 77. Tupelo Honey
Memories
dragged from the depths by Tupelo Honey
Wanna joint or a cigarette now
Lay back and get high,
listen to Van the man, the Van man
Sometimes the old life calls
Like the sun on a summers day
Days spent in bed, never alone
But always lonely
And high, high, high
A kite with no string
Who wants to fly the boy next?
Just lay your money down
Tell him you love him
And for the next few minutes
He is yours
Who said money can't buy you love?
__________________________
Peace is found in quiet spaces
Where gentle waters flow
Harmony is in the love we make
On quiet Sunday morns
Love is shelter from the storm
And home is in Your arms
____________
Thank you for reading.
